Larry,

No problem, I wholeheartedly concur with giving witpqs permission for a kamikaze TF mission to EDIT: MIDWAY Is!
Although the thought of giving all those like minded people the opportunity to play-by-proxy against me is a little unnerving ;)

I believe we are getting to the part of the game where the experienced "Moose" gave us good advice about keeping our AAR's separate. I love having you on here for your skills, but I am seeing where your reports are starting to give away vital info to me by accident , I'm not reading what you are declaring OPSEC, but your now posting where, and what, your existing TF's are comprised of trying to make it good for the readers and this is unfair for the game.

I can only offer this compromise, if yourgoing to post OPSEC on a screen, don't post it to the screen - make it a attachment for the readers to open and I will not open any attachments and therefore I won't know what your doing? ( or if ANYONE has an idea - please join in!)

Reg you're now the TF commander of TF 771. You're right in the middle of a bunch of Allied ships and some of them shoot back.

Sorry......I hadn't thought of the impact these assignments might have on you. I appologize profusely. How about this: I'll give you an
assignment on the Japanese side too....???

Something else I hadn't considered. By golly I believe I've had too much Black Label again. Um....how about this: I'll cease and desist
posting the contents of the TF in consideration and just list the TF number or something. I hadn't thought about how this was effecting
the game but I can see how you're absolutely correct and I appologize again. I'll cut back on the assignments too....it's taking up time
I could be using on doing my moves. You sent them to me Sat. and here it's already Wed am. I'll get busy and finish them tonight
and email them to you before I do anything else.

Sounds like a good idea to me. And when the information goes stale I'll go ahead and embed the pic in the post so you can see what
was what back when.

So um....hey all you guys. I received an email from Jim just now bringing to my attention that there's the possibility of somebody getting "assigned"
when they might not want to be. Or maybe somebody got an assignment they didn't want, would rather be in planes or whatever. Sorry, I hadn't
thought of that. All these assignments are just for fun and are change-able and are for "immersion" effect for the game. Just say something if
you want to be unassigned or given something else to do instead of being a TF commander, for instance. Rather than piss somebody off maybe
it'd be best if I give it a rest and see what the reaction is to what's been done already.

Larry,
Please don't apologize, there's nothing wrong, we are rookies at this AAR thing and I just kept in mind what "Moose" (or maybe it was Bullwinkle - I dont want to be misquoting someone) told us early on...

Also NEVER - EVER blame the booze! Some of the greatest works of history, the written word, and imagination were done under the "alkafluence of inkahol"

The rules as I know em are just don't disgrace or hit the women, drool on your shirt, or pee your pants in public...

Again if I offeneded anyone - its just my strange brand of humor @ 3am... Wife is sick and I'm the caretaker and laundry bitch right now!

Funny you mention that - I have white socks and black socks, she cannot figure out what happens to the argyles she keeps buying me every Christmas...

PS: no more behind the couch excuses - I made sure we bought legless furniture (sofa's n chairs sets) It was for cleaning purposes - I dont have to move the furniture every week so she can vacuum... slick willie lives!!!!

Hey Jim, it's Wed. am ( 01:16 ) and I just now emailed you my moves. You should have them now. Um.....I don't have any
Rob moves to work on either so I think I'll fire up Tracker and see if I can't do a half-way decent evaluation of the Jap side
of our game. I'll publish it on a file server and provide a link to it for those of you who might be interested to see how the
Jap side of this game is doing.

so um.....Hey You Guys........I just now got Jim's moves and so I'm going to postpone further work on the evaluation of the game from the Jap point of view but you can download the rough draft I have done if you want it's at this link:

Click on this line to download 08Feb42.zip

I'm going to get to work on my moves right now. The posts that follow are about the latest combat results.

EDIT: Here's what the rough draft looks like when you've opened the html file in your browser: I'm planning on keeping this document
up to date and adding things to it so that I can refer to it to give me the insight I need to fight this war properly. It'll be my todo list so to
speak.

Here's a question for all you guys.....I have open below the destroyed LCU's list and you can see that both of them have a cost to
recall of "undefined". Does that mean that I CAN'T buy them back or that the game engine hasn't yet determined what the cost is?

Here's a comparison of the economic chart numbers from 8Feb42 with those from the 9Feb42 chart. I've turned off some
refineries at Palembang and that's made a large difference in the fuel output and a timy difference in the HI output. I'm
guessing here.

Fuel and oil levels in the Jap home islands are still slowly dwindling. But I'm hoping to turn that around when Palembang, Miri, and
Balikpapan get going full-time full-rate production.

It appears that bombardment by DD's, even at a range of 2,000 yards, doesn't do all that much to the target. No damage was listed.
