Most of you die hards love the long arduous campaigns, such as U2R, and that is good! Others would like smaller, perhaps a little easier to win campaign. Well, we are about to accomodate you. Look for the release of Arras - "A Rude Awakening." This is a very short campaign (3 battles that take place in the space of one day). Two versions will be offered, an easy and a hard one. Either way, it is a fast moving battle recreating Rommel's rude introduction to British (and French) armored forces. Now you'll take the role of the man who became known as "The Desert Fox," as he is confronted with a sudden massive foray of Allied armor right into the troops and guns of his 7th Ghost Division in their fighting in France, 1940. Many thanks to the testing team again, all of them heroes. They are the ones who make it happen. They include fine SP warrriors: John Keenan, Rick Cloutier, William Rusco, Steve Avery, Byron Inglesh, Massimo Rocca, Randy Casebier, Fabio "Tiger" Prado and Don Llewellyn. Thanks to all of you for your efforts on this one! ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games [This message has been edited by Wild Bill (edited January 31, 2001).]

All right, gentlemen! Thanks for the interest. U2R can be frustrating. It is one you have to work your way up to, gaining experience as you go. Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

It's been a fun ride until now and I think better things are ahead. I can't tell you really how delighted I am that my efforts and those of so many others have produced pleasurable experiences for you all on these electronic battlefields. All of us have dreams. One of mine has always been to not only enjoy gaming but in some way share my experiences and limited abilities in such a way as to make the hobby more fun for others. I'm very greatful that this dream is coming true! And a lot of it is due to your support, interest and encouragement. Of course, I would be remiss without mentioning the dozens who have tested, designed or worked with me in some fashion to make this happen. These are the linemen who open the way for the backfield to succeed and score. Without them, there would be no success! Now you'll take the role of the man who became known as "The Desert Fox," as he is confronted with a sudden massive foray of Allied armor right into the troops and guns of his 7th Ghost Division in their fighting in France, 1940. I remeber I red letters he wrote to his wife about that battle. The 88 gun made the decision, as in the desert. But Rommel had to direct the fire by himself to save the situation. He was very surprised of french and english sudden reaction. as other german commanders, his WWI souvenir wer still in his mind. La Marne was a very present one at this moment. ------------------ New here

Just one question about Normandie Map. Is there anything about fromentel, or Lafresnay au sauvage, or Les yveteaux. There was a 2 or three days battle there during the Argentan phase of Falaise battle. The 3rd armoured american division was attacking german keeping the road to Putange's bridge on l'Orne open. I am verry interested in it : I know this place very well ------------------ New here

We're putting the finishing touches on it, Dan. Should be out next week. The Raider page (main page) does have cobwebs but some sections have been updated. Fields of Fire, Combat Mission. I hope to have a new one up next week also. Busy, busy, busy! Wild Bill ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games
