Reg dude: Your commander of TF 771, I believe and if so then you are nursing your submarine toward port because of the damage
lyou received in combat. You and your crew will have a month off while the damage is being repaired.

There was a night-time bombardment of Cebu and unless I'm mistaken this is the computer-controlled bombardment. By that I mean I
put the TF under computer control......and there were spotters and everything. I guess it worked.

And then my Zero's on Malaya and some Betty's stage a raid on Singapore. I don't know why they insist on being so horribly
outnumbered all the time. Maybe it's something about a target-rich environment.

And then there's this furball that happened right overhead above the Honsho. The deck crew launched the birds
and then stood on deck and watched as overhead, right above their heads there's a multitude of contrails, circles
and arcs and some falling smokey trails headed downward down. Swirling and noisy and dynamic. You had to be
there to know what it was like.

And we finally get a hit or two on that Allied sub that's been snooping around location code named Banjo Wangie. To get a hit at all
is almost rare so to get three hits on one sub in one contest is like, phenominal or monumental or something.

And then there was this bombardment attack by ART and INF elements and me, the Jap, lose more people than the Allies.
There's something wrong with this picture, so I'm dropping back to bombardment by the ART elements only so as to cut
down on the number of people getting hurt. Why lose people if you don't really really need to? I think I remember a time
before when we WERE using just ART elements and I decided it wasn't moving fast enough and put the INF on the case
too. Therefore all the losses now. So it's either go faster and lose more people or go slower and spare the casualties.
It's becoming starkly evident for me now. Let's try with ART elements only for a while longer and let the men dust themselves
off and rest a bit. Hey that's an idea.....take one unit at a time and REST them in a hex further back than the front lines.
I'll have to look into that idea.

For those who are thinking I'm not going to retreat in China, I will as soon as Larry starts showing he is getting serious there.
Til then I'm going to try and make him use up his resources repairing his armies.

PS: Larry I'm reading your having your AKE's shuttling supplies? If you disband the AKE's into port they can draw from the port using the "load tenders" button.
This way your AK/AKL's can run the risk of being torp'd and your AKE's stay relatively safe in port.

That certainly works for me. The problem is that the base doesn't have the supplies to rearm the AKE's.....not all of them. I'm shipping
them to the base hex like they are peanuts and I can't eat just one. I like your idea of moving supplies to the base however, good one.

And another thing........that computer controlled TF we allowed to do the bombardment mission........it ended up in the target hex
with the mission of surface combat instead of ending up back in it's base hex getting rearmed. So now I gotta bring 'em back to
the base hex to get rearmed before I can send 'em out to bombard again. I guess that computer controlling things didn't work
after all.

This check of supply levels at the big three oil producer bases shows everybody is okie dokie except for Palembang which has fallen
below 10K supplies and therefore isn't repairing it's oil centers anymore. D'oh. I'll have to see if I can't find some supplies for Palley.

The BBTF automatically becomes a SCTF after the bombardment, you have retirement allowed, so it should have started back to its home base after one turn bombardment. They work prety well for me - although I have had the SCTF hang around for more than one turn too. Usually because I forgot to take off the remain on station command!

I was thinking about turning on the refineries at Palembang to start outputting fuel again and wondered if the fuel level is growing
or shrinking or .....??? and I remembered that Tracker gives us a resource history of the base itself and I see where the fuel level
is going lower because I've shipped out fuel as fast or faster than the refineries can produce it. That's a good sign. It's nowhere
near the max fuel level for Palley yet so there's time yet to get some routes together and working moving the goodies here and
there.
