I wasnt planning on making any but Sharky had mention something about the wave weapons and frankly they needed a big upgrade, i was think of just modding the originals, but i just went ahead and made em from scratch plus they all have different design, they all wave weapon, but the visual style is different.

BEFORE
We all know what the crappy old green wave weapon looked like but ill slap a image of it. And basicaly thats what all 3 other wave weapons looked like just different color.

there is a blue but I didnt get a screen shot of it.. i guess youll have to give it try.

PS
Btw these screen shots were taken with like 5 to 9 wave weapon on 1 ship.. so depending how many you put on youll be able to still see whats going on under.

Sweet thx

, about the red one is a little similar to the green one they both have spirals near the center, makes them look like whirlpool or small fabricated black holes.
Did take me awhile to get them just right.

One thing tho.. is i didnt really stick to original colors perfectly which is what I wanted to do.
But with your feedback im happy with the results.

Purple one is the best IMHO, great job! Really like it.
But... where did you get those nice ships? can you upload them too, pleazzz?

It's all 21 races ships, and I belive it's one of the GSB shipsets from it (the one for Dhayut).

Pretty sure Unitterror got them from the Distant Worlds Extended mod. I got them from that thread originally for the mod.
Word of warning, I had to modify the ship images as you have linked them from that thread, previously the ship images were way too large and they were causing hard PC locks while using them. The modified versions that are fine, the mod is totally stable with them can be found in the latest download of the Distant Worlds Extended mod.

Good to know. Yeah, some mods have pretty large ship bitmaps. I tested in-game with closest zoom possible and biggest ships aren't larger than about 260 pixels even then (although large bases can be bigger). So somewhere around that resolution should be fine as max for ships.
