Just want to compliment nikvdd for an excellent mod (v1.06)...just getting ready to start the Barbarossa scenerio.

What impresses me the most is the unique challenges each scenerio presents leading to adapting different strategy and tactics to be successful.

Being a WWII buff, the scenerios do a great job of depicting the events of the war as they occurred.

Even though I achieved a DV in the France scenerio...from a realty perspective I replayed the last turn over again to get a MV thus avoiding the invasion of England (UK 40)...keeping more to history from my perspective.

Can't wait for v2.0!

Thanks!

Thanks very much David.
As usual i'm always busy with two projects at the same time lol. When i need to crack a tough nut with one project, i continu in the meantime with the other. Although for now for the last time.
I have announced my final mod for axis players today for Panzer Corps 1. So let's hope in the future there will be Panzer Corps 2 :)
For now you can read about it :

I'm playing Campaign V1.0.

On the campaign tree, the scenerio PSKOV only shows a path for DV/MV's.

What happens for a loss in this scenerio?

The game ends. BTW, Pskov is the easiest mission of the campaign :)

I'm struggling with the Barbarossa scenerio in V1.06.

My core force consists of:
*5 Infantry
*3 Pionieres
*8 Pz IIIH
*2 SE Pz IIIH
*3 Pz IVF
*2 Char B1(f)
*4 Pz IIF
*5 Strumpz Arty(range=3)
*1 Stug IIIB
*7 BF 109F
*4 Ju87R
*1 Ju88A
*1 Armored Train

According to the campaign tree...a loss means game over...AI level is set at General(?)...one rank above the normal/middle setting.

Any help would be much appreciated...the onslaught of the hordes of russian tanks are bad by themselves, its the Red Air Force that's continues to keep me off balance.

Notes:

* 5 of the BF 109F's are overstrengthed to 13.
* 4 of the Strumpz Artys are overstrengthed to 12.
* numerous hero bonuses present on most units except Pz IIF's.
* I've spent most/all of my prestige in adding core units and overstrengthening units to start...with no city/airfield victory hexes to capture in the first 7 turns, I'm not able to replace all my core unit losses as they occur...especially my air force units.
* Weather has been both clear and dry so far.

I know this scenerio requires me to approach this from a defensive perspective early on...in the south I've retreated the two pockets of non core units behind the river line...in the southern deployment sector I placed:

*2 INF
*2 Pz IIIH
*1 Pz IV F
*2 Pz IIF
*2 Bf 109F
*1 Ju 87R

TXS

Note to above post:

1. 5 Grenedires...not Infantry.

2. Also deployed the Armor Train to the southern area to start.

Expect 10 rounds to be on the defensive along the rivers. Destroy as many units as possible on the river hexes. Afterwards it should be rather easy to advance towards the different objectives.

All recent versions for download can be found in the first window of this thread (top of page 1).

The rar file of the GTPG v2.0 demo needs to be extracted in...
1) documents\mygames\panzer corps\mods and
2) your GME (generic mod enabler) mods folder

Load the mod into GME and then start the game, chose more campaigns and chose the demo from the list.

Use of generic mod enabler:

GTPG v2.0 uses a custom database and GME is required for it to run properly.

Appearingly the downloadlink is very popular and was noticed by the host (speedyshare). Ofcourse don't pay to get the download.

Thanks Nikk, I am sort of getting the hang of these mods and the GME. However, when I downloaded your other packs I just placed them in the game and I was using each year that you created with the standalone force-preset.

Therefore, when you want to play the game you have to disable the mods and move them to the left side of the GME program - correct?

I started the game and the GTPG 2.0 demo is listed three times? pic enclosed

In order to play the demo, you need to enable it in GME - move to right column.
I had the same with the demo appearing 3 times...i don't know why. I just picked the last one and i could play.

I have it now Nikk, thanks for your work, I am just a little slow with some of this stuff but I usually get it.

By the way, what does the generate snapshot of files do in the GME?

It said to generate a snapshot, the first time you run GME after installing it. What it is actually for, i would need to look it up myself.

GTPG v2.0 Part 1: 1939-1943

If i counted right, there should be 53 scenario's.

Install guide, credits, flowcharts are included in the download.
You can continu the game after 1943 but it has not been brought up to v2.0 specs yet, also savegames beyond this point will not be savegame compatible with part 2.

My gratitude to all fellow modders and admiration for this wonderful community! And a big thank you to all the playtesters!!!

Grab it here from sendspace: http://www.sendspace.com/file/1anv95

THnka, that answered my question.

But raises another. Sorry if this has been asked/answered ..... but

What are the primary differences between v1.06 and v2.0 ? If this already been discussed, could you please point me to the link. Can't find any. Not looking for the 300+lines of specific changes, rather a summary of the major differences ......

Thanks in advance

Version v1.06
- Vanilla efile, vanilla units, compatible with a personal efile
- 70 scenarios (1939-1946)

Version v2.0 Part 1
- Custom efile, vanilla + custom units (Heer and SS units, Wiking units, extended capturable unit database, extended bonus unit database,...), not compatible with a personal efile
- 53 scenarios (1939-1943)

You can also check out the GTPG thread on the slitherine forum, there is always much more activity there. http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=29747

If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm afraid GME is required because of the custom units. At this moment there is no other way of playing the mod, or any mod with custom units. I do hope this issue will get fixed in future vanilla patches.

d/l v2.0 Part 1 and enabled mod via GME.

I'd played 4 scenerios previously using the demo version of this mod.

Looks like the latest version has replaced the demo version in my mod files...ie., overwritten the old mod.

Started up with a previous same game under the demo version and everything seems fine.

I assume I can continue with v2.0 Part 1 using a saved game started with the demo version and continue just fine.

Am I correct?

Again...thanks much for your hard work and dedication!

DAVE
