Status: offline 		Kuma and 2 USN DD's blunder into each other about 40 miles from Jolo. Simms and Gwin had light or no damage and were Washington's escorts and Kuma was untouched from the Musashi group.

A draw.

Status: offline 		Taytay: The intrepid commander of the 8th Marine Regt amphibious group pushed all the way to Taytay and begins unloading. Hory Crap! That might have been a disaster. Even so, it looks like it might work out. Only an LYB AF Bn is ashore. Even without a full disembarcation, they may be able to take the base tomorrow.

Rooks rike they have to turn around. First B-25's from Ternate. They seem to have something of value aboard because they have LRCAP.

--2nd/102nd is indeed no longer with us. A moment of silence please.

--Cotobato is undamaged and has enough supply for aircraft

--Jolo has 24% runway and port damage but still lives

--FOW was a bit high on aircraft destroyed on the ground. We had 3 aircraft lost yesterday. 1 Corsair, 1 C-47 and 1 RAAF Cat

--The old guy in charge of the Washington force that didn't trust radar was Vice Admiral Towers. He disbanded his BB into port and transfered to Gwin. I'd say he deserves a medal after his victory over Musashi. Washington has some 20 mm mounts out and 5% flotation and 8% engine damage. Nothing that requires drydock but she should go back to Darwin.

--Only 140 troops of 8th Marine ashore so far at Taytay. 13 assault points. I think the taffy will have to retire unitl we have proper escorts.

--Those LYB transports in the Sulawese Sea do appear headed for Dadjangas. It's a proper task force with escorts and if they were headed to Taytay or Jolo or even Cotobato why steam south of Mindanao?

--North Carolina and South Dakota and Oakland with DD escorts are just making the turn around Ceram into the Ceran Sea. They are probably 3 days out from Jolo. With the two fresh BB's on station and Musahsi and Haruna dinged up, we will have surface superiority for a while.

Status: offline 		Anyone think that 165 undisrupted marines can take Taytay from an LYB AF engineer unit if I send in a glass-eater colonel to lead them? They have no support units ashore yet and have zero prep for Taytay. JJ are probably a bit disrupted after bombardment by the CL in the amphibious force.

Status: offline 		I worked out what the fight between Kuma and Sims/Gwin was all about. Towers and the LYB commander, after throwing 16 and 18 inch shells at each other until the magazines were empty, transferred to their only undamaged ships and went at it again. Two pit bulls.

Status: offline 		Most of what remains of the 503rd PIR is aboard LCT's between Dadjangas and Jolo. They can go to Cotobato now and can air drop from the level 2 field there.
