Hairog,
It's not you.
I've been hassling Doom since the release of T.O.F. to sort out the editor,
and have been patiently waiting for one that works.
I was implying that if a 'new' one was bundled in here with SWiE, it should be greeted with
much fanfare and some triumphal marching!
that's all...

The Editor is still on our to do list together with it's lite version.

However we need to finish the 1.05 patch for Strategic War in Europe and complete features for our new game.
I assume that the works on the editor will be continued somewhere during November.

I know Im late to the game here. But is the current editor not working? We get a microsoft error when we try to run it. Version 1.0.0 RC

Fatal error

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Xna.Framework, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyTOken=842cf8be1de50553' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Application will now exit.

Anybody have an idea???

Thanks

Welcome to a world of (game mod) frustration.
(But the game play is fun).
If you have a look in the time of fury mod threads, some progress has been made on game mods, but the editor program is a minefield of frequent crashes.
But W.I. are good to their word, and I expect a working editor will eventually appear.

I concur. A new editor will appear in time. How much time is the question. When it does there a a bunch of us who are ready to rock and roll.

doomtrader,
I sure hope it works, unlike my experience with Time of Fury's editor. Just can't past an error with Xna not having the correct parameter with the ToF editor version 1.04 or 1.04b.

I just bought World in Flames. What a monster. Good, but a monster.

I sure do miss the simplicity of this and Time of Fury. These games are so much more approachable yet give you all the choices that were historically available.

Please give us an editor that works.
