The raid on Batavia went terribly wrong and got more expensive at it went. The losses don't justify the damage done and I'm stopping
the raids by the Zero's.

I've reached the point of diminishing returns with attacks on Brisbane. But I see some active Allied ships around Sydney so I think I'll
coast down south a bit and see if the fish are biting.

I just discovered this situation at Kwajalein. An Allied TF is spotted to the east heading west, right at Kwaj and I've got some combatants
tied up in the repair yards that are going to be pressed back into rapid service reguardless of damage. Luckly the CVL beached his
planes on Maloelap and those Zero's and Kate's are spoiling for a fight. Also, there's a squadron of Betty's within
range of the Allied TF so far........so I expect some carnage in the next couple of days. I've got a CVL and a DD that hit a mine and aren't
combat worthy and they are headed for Kwaj. So it comes down to just one BB, one CA, and one DD to fight them off. I think I'll let the
aircraft do their worst first then send in the surface forces last of all.

I've got 4 CV's about 5 days to the south of Kwaj and I've got them steaming at mission speed to conserve fuel and I'm hoping there's a
situation I can still save 5 days from now. Jim may intend this as just a raid and nothing more......dash in bombard dash out ........I may
need to order up some more AO's from somewhere to make all this happen. The CV's still have about 46% of their sorties left so we may
get some good hunting in yet.

I've designated a TF to chase the Allied ships at Canton Island. They have been there a while and I thought I might as well chase them
away.

The BB Nagato and the CL Kuma are the ships that bombarded Manila and then hit a mine, incurred some damage and I've got them
headed for Hong Kong to get repaired. I'm hoping the BB will fit into the Hong Kong ship repair yard because if it doesn't I'll have to
send it to Yokohoma to get fixed.

I was just about to download the cargo of 27K of supplies at Pescadores when on a whim I decided to check out Cam Ranh Bay and I've
decided that CRB needs the supplies worse than the Pescadores so I'm sending them to CRB. They will get there in less than a week.

TF 326 is tankers taking another 10K slug of fuel to CRB. If and when Singapore falls I'll start using it as a hub instead of CRB because
Singers is more toward the middle of the channel between the mainland and the PI and I don't have to set up as many waypoints to my
TF's when I assign them a destination. I'm finding that I don't have to ship as much fuel from Tokyo anymore. The big 4 refineries, Miri,
Tarakan, Balikpapan, and Palembang are suppling all the fuel my TF's need and then some. I may end up sending a bunch of fuel to the
home islands. That would be a hoot.

TF 335 is two carriers w/ escorts that have some sorties left and he's ideally placed to do something about those Allied TF's showing up
around Sydney. He's going to coast down south a bit and maybe launch some air strikes. We'll see what happens.

Oh, yeah, remember how I was going to get back to you about what the game engine did to those two Petes that I moved to I-19. When
the planes first arrived they were in the damaged category but now a turn later I see that one of the planes got put in "reserve" and both
pilots are available. I've got them flying such that when one is the other isn't. At least that's the way I hope it works out. But this is
gamey because there were no Petes on subs so I'm going to fly the unit off the sub and replace it w/ a Glen when one shows up.

Yesterday one of my subs was on his way to San Diego to loiter and he ran across an Allied TF that alledgedly has a CV and 2 BB's in
it. I'm following the Allied TF w/ my sub to see where they go so I can sortie one or more of my carriers to their destination. I've got a
CV at Yokohama that I'd love to see finally do something useful and maybe I can scrape up another carrier from somewhere to make a
response to Jim's moving those two BB's.

I found the 11th Shipping Engineers at Kota Bharu doing next to nothing so I thought I'd get a TF to take them to Cam Ranh Bay so as to
be more useful. As soon as CRB ceases being a hub, if ever, then I'll move the engineers to the new hub wherever it is.

EDIT: I went to go get myself a cup of coffee and when I came back I thought I saw "11th Shopping Engineers" and I briefly had this
mental picture of 175 Japanese women armed with a checkbook and dressed in fatigues.

I sent a DD into the harbor at Midway to check out conditions generally and he tells me he's found an AE parked there and he's already
been the victum of an aerial assault ( no damage yet ) and wants permission to withdraw and I grant it. The next time I've got a carrier
that's not doing anything important for a week or so I'll swing by Midway and see if we can't sink that aledged AE.

The big 4 carriers that were chasing an Allied surface TF needs something else to do so I'm sending it north to help take care of another
Allied TF approaching location code named Maladopted and eventually save Kwajalein from getting bombarded if possible. Lots of
service ships parked at K. and I'd hate to see them have to lift a finger. I'm thinking that the big 4 will arrive sometime during a 3rd day.

I'm going to send an AV out into what I hope is the middle of the path from Colombo to Perth and I'm going to let him hang out there for a
little while to see what traffic is like now-a-days. I expect there to be about 6 TF's going to and from so I'm guessing he'll see about 1.
I'm not sure what I'll do about the traffic once I see it. Maybe get the AV to trail it to illumiinate it's path for a better interception of the TK
or AK or whatever kind of traffic it is.

My BB, CA, and DD were all just lounging around Wake when the Allied ships attacked. I think we did well according to all the damage.
The BB is sys: 9, flt: 8, and eng: 6 and the fires are out. The CA was more heavily damaged but there's a CL that was hanging around
Wake as well.....I'll join him to this TF and creep back at cruise speed to Kwaj with these damaged ships. That is, if Jim will let me. I see
where he's got some DD's headed west from east of Wake and I'm thinking he's not through yet. Maybe.Hope I can keep him around
long enough for my carriers to get here.

The planes from the CVL Nissin were beached at location code named Maladaptive and they got into the fight too. One carrier's worth
of planes doesn't make much of a dent though.

There were three Allied TF's active yesterday so I got a shot at this one and the others escaped to the south I guess. They have just all
disappeared from the radar screen. It's time for the carrier to refit anyway.
