Well, I carefully clip the corners of ALL counters of my board games.

And then there is the microwave to the left and the refrigerator to the right of my computer desk. Oh, I also have my a** planted in a great gaming chair, that has it's own little fridge, in case reaching for the regular one is toooo much work.

Never got around to clipping. I have War in the Pacific 2nd edition, I can only imagine how long that would take to clip those 9k counters(think its 9k).

I gave this up years ago and went to Matrix computer games, I don't miss the wind though the widow gusts, along with the Cats, Dogs, and Kids.

Actually for me I am still a boardgamer at heart but do enjoy both. And buy both. Either way a great hobby. One enhances the other.

Well I haven't made a plastic kit for about 15-20 years but I saw that the Korean kit maker Academy do a 1:350th scale model of HMS Warspite. I've ordered this and just waiting for it to arrive. That should keep me occupied for a while

Luverly.

I've been considering beginning building plastic kits again. I suspect it is great for relaxing.

Looks great Warspite. Have the makers got a web site?

Like Warspite I have'nt done any military modelling for over 30 years, so I was tempted to get the Yamato.

But at £256 pounds for a 1/350th scale model, its a little out of my price range..

There is a 6' model of the Gustav railroad gun that is always on Ebay for a few thousand $s.

If I hit the lottery it's mine.

The kit arrived on Thursday It's big! and ...it looks complicated... but worst of all, the paint instructions are rubbish

Fortunately there is a website that sells paint colours for WWII ships, planes etc. I told them what I needed and hey presto, they have given me the reference numbers I need.

Just got to wait for these to arrive so I can get cracking on the hull.

I used to do that to my Star Fleet Battles counters. I remember once me and my opponent had a summer long campaign and we actually named each and every ship. It was hundreds, counting the carriers, space control ships, dreadnaughts, cruisers, destroyers, Fed express ships, frigates.......
