Hi everyone,

I wondered what games people thought were the best for PBEM campaign play? I'm looking for a game to play with my brother and realized Panzer Corps just did PBEM scenario play. Any genre is cool with us, just looking for a good, long and satisfying PBEM game with him. Thanks in advance!

Go the whole hog and get War in the Pacific AE....or War in the East...
Something quick Conflict of heroes but I don't think it's PBEM.

Get AE, it's a game that takes a good LONG time, and is IMO the best bang for the buck.

I used to play Avalon Hill games by mail, where you picked a stock's ending price for your random die roll. By far the best to date for PBEM is SC. Any number of campaigns, easy PBEM mechanics, files aren't too large and you can finish them in months instead of years for WitP.

I currently exchange turns with nephews, son, and BiL, perfect to keep long term family communications going. You can even play SC on line, exchanging rapid turns and chatting, bragging on each one. Good family fun for us wargamers.

Seconded. Definitely worth getting (for both SP and PBEM), especially if you like space strategy games at all.

Hi, Markuus.

Not sure how much are you or your brother into wargaming.

If you want something quick and easy, I recommend Panzer Corps.

In the other hand, if you have the time and want something more long and complicated, look at TOAW III (The Operation Art of War III).

SAILORS!!??

I'm an Army man ( ex tankie ) thankyou!!

To paraphrase Churchill on the Senior Service;

'....too much Rum, Bum and Baccy...' for my liking sir!!

Seriously, WitP AE is very deep and has a steep learning curve, but it is totally absorbing, great fun and immensely satisfying.
The forum regulars are mostly very helpful and apart from the odd giant ego, are more than willing to offer advice and help.
I do recommend it.

Commander The Great War is also great fun and is not too complicated if you are in to grand strategy game's...well worth a look.
