A hard-drive crash half-way through didn't help.......

I'm just so glad war didn't end in June! If you do the arithmetic, 700 Turns takes you well into the Autumn of 1945.

I've found this number, but they are incomplete:
Luftwaffe lost 12.656 aircrafts by A2A fight between 1943/1944
(8.286 in 1943, 4.370 in 1944); 18.000 aircrafts lost on ground.
GB lost 6.440 aircrafts; 55.573 pilots KIA, 8.403 WIA and 9.838
captured by german (too many pilot for 6.440 a/c I think...);
USA lost 43.742 pilots (KIA & MIA). I don't find US air losses.

The numbers could be aircrew for the British, not just pilots. 7-8 guys in every heavy bomber don't forget.
