Is there a new albeit unofficial patch for AE now in the works?

v1108r9 is my last update for this Pacific sim.

Yep, there is an unofficial beta version 1123h released on 1 April. You'll find it in the Tech Support section of the Forum.

People that loaded 1123h complained of a problem running Tracker with that version. AFAIK that is unresolved.

I am using 1123g without issue. I recommend that one.

I had a problem, but it appears that it was a problem with the turn file, not tracker. I now have a new computer and can not get tracker running at all, but that is a different story. I have had no other problems with 1123h.

But I saw other people agree that they had the same problem, eh?

I'll have another look.

It's a unofficial beta patch (if I remember well, also the last official
at the beginning was unofficial beta patch...). But you can go to the
thread dedicated and know more in details.

It's usually a failure to copy the new .dll to the proper location that disables Tracker. I've done it myself recently.

I had the same impression since there are several hard-care pranksters on this forum.

I think I'll take this more seriously when I see it in the Members forum!

I wish I was racking it in. Spending sooo much time on my real job (week consists of 3 days working 5pm to 2am (sometimes 8am), 2 days normal 8am to 7pm, and on call over the weekend). This has been happening for last 2.5 months, and for another month and a bit.
Barely have time to myself.

That is an incredibly bad work schedule. It does not allow the body any chance to adapt to different sleep patterns. Not to mention the complete disruption to your non-work activities.

People should bear this work schedule very much in mind when they next "propose" some work be done on AE code. Unfortunately I don't think they will.

Since I haven't seen a new patch for quite a while now, is it fair to say that the game version is final then?

My version is 1.0.6 1108r9

Even this very thread that you resurrected for your post talks about newer versions.

What you quote is the most recent Official Release. The Beta releases are much, much newer. They offer great improvements and many bug fixes. My advice is to use the latest Beta.

If you are committed to sticking with the latest Official Release, there is no telling when there will be another one, if ever.

Try driving a truck for a living. They expect you to work at any time even during your 10 hr.break.
2 hrs of gaming then 8 hrs of sleep then 14 on duty.I know I'm sitting on my butt all day
but try dealing with all the poor drivers out there 4 wheel and 18 wheel.

The Human body can adapt, I spent 2 years working 6am-2pm for two days, then 2pm to 10pm the next two days, then two days working 10pm-6am. Repeat ad infinatum. Being single helps a lot...

Boy you worked what in the AF we called the psycho shift - you have my condolences and appreciation, I never would have been able... Nowadays however I to old and crippled to work odd shifts. I only work 20-25 hrs a week in the morning. I wouldn't mind more hours but I wouldn't be able to stand 40 hrs a week anymore nor can I lift any great amounts, sucks getting older.

Thanks I thought the beta patch was in Tech Support where Members only are allowed and couldn't find it there.

Which caused some confusion until I saw the Tech support section here

Thanks will play the beta patch then.

I'll have to restart my game I guess.

The Beta's only change the EXE so no data files have been touched (the only reason you need to restart). So you can keep playing and still get all the new stuff with no problem. I have done that quite a bit so can attest that a restart is not needed. Now if you want an excuse to restart anyway ....
