Hi there devs of Distant Worlds, first let me thank you for creating such a extremely entertaining strategy game. I love it.

On the other hand I want to ask, if you guys also work to optimize the game, so it runs a lot smoother even on big galaxies? I run a Intel 2920XM (extreme edition), with 16GB of ram, Distant Worlds installed on a SSD drive and a quite decent graphics card as well. I still seem to get the game to lag extremel heavily, even on my heavy stationary gaming computer with the same type of configuration the game lags.

Id love to see a patch that makes the game utilize my computer fully.

At the moment the game is using 1.1GB of ram and only 13% of my CPU power, but it lags really bad, and its kinda ruining my game experience.

I believe that some of these issues are being addressed in the upcoming expansion. Part of the blurb for that is: 'includes an updated and improved graphical engine that allows for much better performance in the epic 1,000+ star galaxies that many Distant Worlds fans enjoy'.
