First, there was SPhack and MOBhack, then there was Jim Bello's SPobedit, then came paintshop pro, and the ability to view, create and modify LBM's...Then came Fred's shpedit and the ability to create and modify shp files...Now, with WAW MAP in its latest version, comes the ability to copy maps, or part of them, and paste them onto another map...Man, it just keeps getting better! I never dreamed that I'd have this much capability to create scenarios!
With WAW MAP's latest version, and one short email from Mr. Chlanda, I'm quickly creating a map series covering all of the battles around Bastogne. And because of the ability to copy and paste, they are interlinked, except for the Champs battle site, which was relatively isolated from the engagements east of Bastogne. I've currently finished a large map covering the engagements around Marvie, Mageret, Neffe, Bizory and Mont, another covering Marvie and the terrain south of Bastogne, and I'm presently working on two that will cover the battles around Longvilly and Noville (remember TF's Rose, DeSobry and O'Hara?), east of Mageret. And, they have been done using topo maps for that area, so they are accurate in their scale. It is really neat when, if you run out of room for the area that you want to cover, you can just copy a portion of one map, paste it into another, and continue. I think that it will make a great scenario series.
