Just purchased and installed Storm Over The Pacific (patch v1.11). When attempting to play any scenario, selecting a unit and clicking on the Unit Panel button causes the game to crash. My system specs: Windows 8 Pro AMD FX-8350 with 16GB of ram. I know I got the right versions of DirectX and .Net since I also have Strategic War in Europe (v1.08) and Time of Fury (v1.04) both running fine. Well, Time of Fury crashes if you lose, i.e play Poland and get trounced by the Germans early in the Grand Campaign. This same thing happens in Storm over the Pacific if you play the Philippines in the Pacific Campaign and the Japanese run amok all over the PI laying waste to what little resistance you can muster (tested just by moving/ending turns and not clicking the Unit Panel button... the grim end usually comes by turn 5-6). Attached is a ZIP of the ConsoleOut.txt file from crashing caused by clicking on the Unit Panel while selecting a unit. There's no autosave since it never even gets that far. To replicate: 1) Start new game 2) Select "Pacific Campaign" 3) Select Japan (or any country) as the country (set as Human) 4) Tab or click to first unit 5) Click on the Unit Panel button 6) Crash I'm running at 1600 x 900 windowed, but have gotten the same crash when running full screen default 1024x768. And this is running using the default map and unit graphics. Any ideas or is there any fix? I love the interface and really, really, really, really, really would love to play this game (yes, that is 5 "reallies"). After playing UV, WitP and WitP:AE, I would find pure bliss in getting out more than a turn a day in a Pacific Theater wargame without mortgaging the rest of my life.
