Why should we listen to FDR, even it is him and not the clone.

He starts the entitlement ball rolling...and then when the war ends in '43, all the horny guys come home and start breeding like rabbits...65 years later we have a social security insolvency.

Even worse, he's mean to Truman.

AND, he cheats on his wife. Well, that's what I heard.

I think the problem lies with M&M enterprises filing for tax exempt 'charitable' status. Seems to me that with M&M's 'long arms' that they've got someone that can make this problem go away...

Nothern Oz: ALSP made fun of all the troops lolling about in Oz with nothing to do so I sent 20-25 transports and Long Island over to Port Hedrand to pick some up.

This kind of target naturally gets the attention of the Bettys on Flores. RAAF stuff from Wyndham helps out. They are inbound to Port Hedrand from Darwin at this pt.

If the drop of the 503rd succeeds, the whole joint is going to be like a hornet's nest hit by a baseball. Runway damage at Clark is 44% but Manila and San Fernando and Altimonan and Aparri are undamaged. They can throw a bunch of aircraft at us. Even the Formosa fields are in range.

47 fighters and 70 bombers at Clark. Those could be some serious ship killers. On the other hand, Iba is a level 2 field so we could base up to 100 fighters there. One Jap BB bombarded Naga inefectually yesterday but has to go somewhere to get ammo. Shanghai? Kyushu? Probably will be out fo the fight for a few days.

Is this a great game or what?

7.4.2.3 KAMIKAZES
Kamikazes are activated if the Allies own a base within 15 hexes (traced by sea only) of either
Tokyo, Takao, or Saigon. However, these will never activate before January 1, 1944.

I think it's been decided that the distance is wrong but the date holds good.

Well, I didn't actually say they had to be "working" fighters. Also, you are overlooking our courageous P-43 and P-36 squadrons in the South Pacific and the luxurious RAF inventory of Mowhawk IV's.

PI: Wing Plan R for "Robert" worked pretty well...so far. I guess the P-38 drivers got up early because they beat the Corsairs to the punch from over 500 miles away while the Corsairs just had to fly 40 mi. Not sure whey we came in at Angels 15. I blame the staff.

Kamikazes are activated if the Allies own a base within 15 hexes (traced by sea only) of either
Tokyo, Takao, or Saigon. However, these will never activate before January 1, 1944.

I think it's been decided that the distance is wrong but the date holds good.

If you count partial sea hexes and don't count the hex of origin then Batangas seems to trigger the clock. Iba would certainly start the clock. Of course, if we reach Tokyo Bay and make the Emperor run counterclockwise around USS Missouri singing "Farmer in the Dell" with his trousers down before January 1944 then we are OK.

A man with a full beard and a corncob pipe in rain slickers (the man has the slickers, not the pipe) welcomes diners. The badly dented bow of the former S-18 protrudes from the back wall of the establishment. Several of the crew, who can be identified by their massive arm and shoulder muscles, drink heavily at the bar. It is a bittersweet day. They have survived their ordeal..but...still...it seems kind of undignified....

I swear. The S-18 cost us at least 500 PP's. We could have bought a '26 Dusenberg or something.
