I'm pretty sure I could do this in legends....

Drag a box around a bunch of military ships, they select as active, the selection box shows all the ships.
However, I can no longer send them on a mission this way (ie, I wanted to grab a few patrolling escorts to send off with my constructor---all now have the primitive warp capability)...

however, missions such as escort don't show up... I can move to the escortee...I can mass refuel/retrofit/move, as well as join/leave fleet...but patrol, escort (and I'm sure a couple others I'm forgetting) aren't available.

Design change or bug?

I'm not sure which all options are available, but a Right-Click should bring up some options.

You may need to do the Right-Click on your Constructor.

Are you using Control-Right Click for the full mission list? Can't double-check now but if a mission is not showing up with Control-Right Click that means it's not available for the selected ships. There should not be any reduction in available missions from Legends to Shadows.

I'll check that... was not using the ctrl-click menus. Don't remember having to do that for escort missions in legends, but might be misremembering as well :)

Single-ships escort just fine w/o the control-click option...(fleets the same), it is just unfleeted, group-selected ships that are acting different than I remember.

edit: just confirmed---a non-fleeted group of ships (in this case, a pair of frigates), do NOT get the escort option, even w/ the control-rightclick menu. Individually, I can right click (or ctrl-click) a ship to get the escort command. As a fleet, I can do the same. But, multiple ships that are not fleeted do not get the option.
