After trying Legends, and not being able to play it, I thought it'd be best to ask if this issue has been tackled and addressed before I even consider giving this gaming title anymore of my money.

So, has the small fonts issued been fixed? Scalable? Enlargeable?

Now you can enlarge the bottom left windows. It's not a whole revamp of the font, but it's quite convenient.

It still is very small, and the left bottom windows is just a minor thing. I had to get my desktop resolution down to be able to play comfortably. If you can't read the text in lower resolutions, though, you'll have to buy a big monitor in order to play, or forget this otherwise wonderful game.

The bottom left window, which received the most complaints, can now be increased in size and that includes the font size. The new ground combat window also has a smaller and larger size. The rest of the text in the game is not rescaled and best advice if the scaling of the bottom left window is not enough is to run in a resolution lower than the default, which will make everything scaled to look larger. You'll need to check your graphics driver and monitor settings to find the best balance where things are scaled and still look good - some cards and monitors handle this better than others.

NO

there is very little difference, don't let these other guys confuse you, having one element of the GUI enlarge a bit does nothing to make the text in every part of the game easy to see.

due to the enhanced gui with shadows I find the text itself is slightly less jaggedy, slightly easier to read... but it's still small and cramped throughout, I still have to lean towards the screen to work out whether a 25% ability has a minus or a plus before it.

" The rest of the text in the game is not rescaled" <--- This very disappointing response has helped me decide. I will NOT be buying this expansion.

And I agree with necaradan666 - when you have to lean forward to even figure out what the words are on the screen, it just sucks the fun out of the game. I play games to relax and kickback, not to struggle with teeny-tiny text.

I have not had any issue with needing to lean forward or squint, but this is a subjective thing. It may vary based on graphics card settings, monitor settings and also the fact that we all have different eyes. The scaling we implemented was an attempt to make this easier for folks who had a problem with this. The bottom left detail screen was the largest source of complaints. If we can offer more rescaling options in the future, we will do so.

It is also a function of how big your monitor is. Playing on a laptop must be quite a painful experience. Programmers tend to work on desktop computers with big screens, and tend to loose sight over laptop users. And people with low eyesight are used to be neglected by pretty much anyone who writes text.
Thankfully, once I get used to my new glasses I'll be able to switch back to 1920*1200 on my 26" screen, but I understand the problem even better, now.

When I found this magnifying button, I was like : "Oh god, YES! thank you" ^.^

My monitor is 1920x1200 and it looks big enough when you magnify. (actually a little too big, but I won't complain :)
