All of the features have the same focus: allow me to have fun kicking ass with custom ships... Ok, easiest feature: put in the interface a flag to tell the AI to NOT build a particular design, and NOT consider it lastest, so you can leave ship building on full auto without fearing the AI will spam your specialised custom ship as it was a common ship. Better way to do the previous feature: allow a new ship class that the player can name it in whatever way he wants (for example "Dropship" for designs that are hybrids of troop transports and capital ships...) Better way even: allow custom classes in general, even better if you can someone explain the AI what they are for (maybe telling the AI that it is analogous to another class, for example saying that your "Dropship" should behave like a troop transport when in auto-mode) And finally, my fantastical super dream: A unique class named "flagship", that can have bigger size, but requires a character to be on board, to emulate late game what you can do early game with relics, and also put some pressure on characters (ie: since the ship need a character, you need to put a character in the front line, and he might get killed...) Even more fun if I can imitate some nice sci-fi series (like Legend of the Galactic Heroes) and put your leader character in the ship, getting several bonuses for the ship and fleet, and losing the normal leader bonuses (until you put him back on the homeworld)
