can the a-24 sortie from a level 2 airfield?

A-20 level bomber yes & A-24 dive bomber yes, but see below.

1. operational losses on takeoff.
2. a reduction in their range as they cannot fly combat missions at greater than their normal range.

I wonder just how much harder it is specifically to damage a larger size airfield?

I have noticed its rather easy to do so even against a level 7-9 field.
