Okie dokie it's turn 13 now and here's the situation near Leningrad. I'm running into Soviet resistance and my guys are so low on
supplies that it's going to be a couple of turns before I can push any further toward Leningrad.

This is what Kiev looks like now. I found some holes in the Soviet line and exploited them.

I don't know about you but I think the supply situation is rediculous and makes the scenario unplayable. So using the TOAW editor
I defined a new event that would increase the supply for the Axis to just over 30, I'm hoping. So I'm going to start over and see what
difference that makes.

I captured Smolensk just by driving into it. It was empty.....no defenders. Good omen I guess.

In overrunning Estonia I got excited and overdrove my units past the limits of the supply chain and so they are out of supply now. D'oh.
So I'm hoping I can repair a lot of rail quickly and get those boys some beans bullets and band aids.

This picture looks at the area a little south of the previous picture and shows that I'm running all my troops past good supply. I'm really
going to have to remember to rest some of them so that I can put up a creadable defense. If need be. Just in case, you know.

Here in turn 6 I marched a division toward Kiev shoving everybody out of the way and finally captured the city. Now I have to fight off
counterattacks for the entire Soviet turn before I get credit for destroying the industry. At least that's my understanding.

Larry,

The supply situation for Barbarossa 41 is generally appalling.

The designers set up a complicated supply model that reduced supply the further the Axis advanced into the Soviet Union (and then plugged in all the wrong numbers).

If that was unmodded and you are using New Supply Rules then you are getting a double whammy as regards supply fall off. IIRC they also set the supply radius to 1 for the Axis.

The scenario requires a completely new supply model for both sides.

I wasn't kidding when I called the supply situation in that scenario a joke.

Best wishes,
Steve

Yeah, I'm finding that out. But I've bumped up the supply level and I'm getting almost adequate supply where I need it. I'll post some
pictures to show you. Here's the front lines in turn 7:

I'm creeping closer and closer to Leningrad. The problem is that all those units are out of supply range and they aren't getting any
supply at all and that's a major problem.

I'm creeping up on Moscow. I estimate that it'll take another 30 turns to take the city. Maybe.

After destroying the industry there was no need to hold the city of Kiev so I evacuated the city rather than stay there and get clobbered.
Other than that things seem to be going rather well. I've gotten across the river and I'm rolling up the Soviet lines.

And here's the Odessa area. FITE has a rule about Axis minors not attacking together so I've been careful to observe that rule
here as well. It makes it funner.

I looked it up in the "3.5 what's new.doc" thingie about it and sure enough it's there. So I'm guessing that's what you'll need.

Here's what Kiev looks like now. The Soviets are being encircled and destroyed and a lot of my elements are racing south to catch the
Soviets before they overwhelm the Axis minors.
