hello, i have some question for shadows.
1. new modding guide won't release?
2. modding, not exist "CharacterRandomAppearanceChance" for Ship Captain?
3. modding, flag format is changed? and increased maximum flag number?
4. if i want. can i don't promote Ship Captain and Fleet Admiral to keep their character roll?

The modding guide is not ready. It was written "next week" somewhere.

The what? The one where you can select what designs to automate and such? It is in empire policy like it used to be. It is easy to find the long list of checkboxes while scrolling through.

No I am talking about the settings which seem to have been changed to design templates.The old ship policy design was very easy and quick to use.

I never modded the game, so don't know how it used to be.

The AI design templates are in the designTemplates folder, and fairly intuitive. Checking my Legends, it seems that these may be new.

If you are speaking saved designs, I have no clue :)

I did wonder that, did ask but not had any real feedback on the subject. I think the new design templates may have changed things internally and it was removed, I thought it was great for fine tuning the AI for designs when I first started getting into creating designs.

As Bingeling said the new Shadows modding guide will be available "next week"

Some things have changed for modding in Shadows versus Legends, so I would not expect Legends mods to work without changes.

Shadows now uses design template files to give very detailed control over all designs. You can look in the designTemplates folder to see the current ones.

These are fairly self-explanatory, but we'll provide comprehensive info in the new modding guide for Shadows next week.
