Giant worm resurrects on spice planet every few turns. Had to nurse a colony and build a hefty armed spaceport to finally 'auto' kill it every time it 'reappeared on planet. Lost two constructors before I figured out the worm dwasn't staying dead. Is this intended (a feature), or 'a bug' (er.. worm )?

If the planet has Korriban spice, then yes - it is as designed.

Put some ships on patrol there till you build a sufficiently tough base.

That is exactly what i did. Colonized, and built a small port by stages... guarded by a fleet that hit the worm every time it came back. It was a pain babysitting the project... but the spice must flow.. thx for confirming my approach...
