In my Allied game vs AI Japan, I have got the usual orphan annie messages about singapore etc. Now, I just (Jan. '43) invaded japanese-occupied Wake Is. and (due to poor intelligence & preparation) was firmly kicked off the beach. When my troops unloaded over the beach, so actually before the ground combat, orphan annie already announced that the foolish americans had landed on Wake and that soon thousands of bodies would float around it (or something to that effect). Now I was wondering: does this message always play when the Allies re-invade Wake, or only when the game 'knows' (or 'suspects') that the Allies are going to take a beating?

I know, this is not really an important issue, but I would just like to know.

Even if you took the island without losing a single soul, she would still have predicted your invasion was doomed from the start.

It's only PROPAGANDA!

Beware: Orphan Ann knows all your plans, and the location of each and every unit you have on map

I assume you know that that's really Tokyo Rose pretending to be Orphan Annie. Now be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

Yeah I thought as much. Still, given my epic fail, it sounded strangely apposite...

Rose seems to be activated by scripted events, not by results.

I frequently get "Two Carriers, Battleship...", when I met some xAKs, which retreat without battle, but it is rarely activated by actual Naval battle

I don't think you get it, she boasts to lower morale, not to tell the truth.
