When you are mining, your mining station extract at example 10 units, multiple that with the percent of the resource of the location to know what you are geting each cycle.

So, if a [a x 75%, y 25% z 80%] would yield 7.5, 2.5 and 8 units of mined stuff each cycle. how long is each cycle? Plz.

Economic cycle is 19 days.

And the mining rate is determined by your mining technology. So the higher your mining technology, the more each extractor takes out in one economic cycle.

I haven't checked in Shadows but the mining cycle was 6 days in the previous 2 expansions.

It doesn't look like it has changed. You have three mining cycles for each economic cycle.

However, it does look like the extractor mining rate has been decreased some from the prior games so you not getting as many units extracted each mining cycle.

What does the number next to the percentage mean then? I mean they never run out of resources so it can't be that.

If it says 60% helium at a gas giant, it means that for every 100 units mined, you get 60 units of helium and 40 units that is thrown away. The higher the percentage to 100%, the more effective it is to mine.

I guess they observe the game. Mining cycles is not harder than monitoring the stores on the mine from day to day. The same with construction, advance days and take notes of what components are one.
