I captured a colony that had Insectoid family on it, I have an amphibious race. The size of the colony is not growing it only has the insectoid on it due I assume to the policy settings. What policy setting do I need to attacked my race?

We need some infomation as in size of insectiod population, type of planet and its desirability and if you built any space ports on the planet.

If you chose an enslave or exterminate policy, then the bugs won't grow. You're own people will eventually move there, but it might take a while, especially if it is radically different from your native environment type.

The population policies will not affect the immigration of your own race. What will attract population to the planet (assuming that it is not already at max) is low taxes and high development. The population settings can be used to keep out races other than your own, move the insects somewhere else or to show them the nice gas chambers you have built.

So the policy settings do not affect your race, one misconception out of the way. The situation at the planet was as shown in the pic. With 'do not accept' set for my family then no amphibians will go there and with 'resettle' other races no other race will either and any generated on planet will be sent elsewhere which is obviusly what was happening.

The 10M fugure for the insectoids has remained since I capturesd the planet but why does it remain at 10M?
I still do not understand why my race has not moved there though?

Since I posted I reset the policy to assimilate alround and growth of the insectoids is now 52% but still no other race.
