I was highly dissatisfied with the vanilla backdrop, since it's low resolution and not really inspiring. I was on my way to download Baleur's mod when I realized that all the links provided were broken ... so I decided to make my own. Basically it's a part of the nebula Eta Carinae (can't post link as a new user, just search "eta carinae hubble") which was also used in Baleur's mod which I cropped, flipped over and heavily edited. Now my image editing skills are very basic, but I did something special that Baleur didn't: I blurred and retouched EVERY SINGLE STAR on the nebula, confusion with real life stars is no longer an issue. I also erased most of the unnecessary details of the nebula because I found them very distracting and sometimes a bit misplaced since they were of very high res and planets on and next to these details looked odd. Also edited the brightness, tint and contrast (among other things) to make every elements of the game more than visible. INSTALLATION: very easy actually, just put it in root/images/environment and replace the original picture, you can also back it up if somehow you don't like the details of the nebula. Image is in 2482x2482 resolution (due to cropping). TIP: This backdrop is best used with spiral galaxies, though it looks very good on others too! QUESTIONS: "your backdrop is gorgeous! Will you make others?? Please!" Well I might, just depends on how many people wants it. I made this one for myself and it can take time before I make another (if at all) "This is terrible work, literally, you had no clue on what you were doing seriously, look at the coordinates X50 Y127 you forgot a blank pixel in the middle of nowhere, also I can't see **** with your color treatment. Good job, you edited thousands of stars but you're still retarded. Gay." I totally agree. Nevertheless I'm thankful for your download NB: I know my english is understandable but I'm still french so be indulgent if I write awkwardly! EDIT: UPDATED: Now it works! Marvelous EDIT II: Here is the full image for the lazy people like me who wants to see the real thing before downloading it. I'm terrible at previews so here you are with the whole. I know the embedding is way too big but anyway, I'll take down the "preview" if asked to (or accept my punishment for subtle trolling) EDIT III: Link to download is 3km/1.86411miles down, alternatively you can right click/save as.
