Hello,

Maybe I'm missing something, but whenever I play a normal empire and start in the Age of Shadows, I'm never able to build resort bases at any point. The little icon simply isn't there, and doing things like right-clicking on a good spot with a construction ship doesn't give the resort base option in the drop-down menu. I can build them normally when playing pirates, haven't tested with a normal empire doing a normal start.

Anybody else notice this?

If I were going to be facetious, I'd say, "Don't worry about it, they don't make any money anyway!" At least they haven't for me, as far as I can tell.

Anyway, I think the problem is that you haven't invented the necessary technology yet, which is "recreation center" if I remember correctly (or something like that).

You can build them, you need the tech (Recreation Center and some higher Constrution tech) and it must be in at least neutral space.

and of course transport systems so you can build passenger ships to actually take people there.

Resort bases do work on and off, my latest game I had 3k maintenance and 25k profit.
