I was just wondering what everyone does for a living, if you would care to share. I am disabled but I make chainmail (maille) jewelry which my wife and I sell at the SC State Farmer's Market. Here is an example of my work. This is a choker I made about two months ago. The weave is called DragonScale, a very intricate weave. All of the rings are 18g. bright aluminum or anodized aluminum. This picture does not do this piece justice. I also make pieces for men, usually heavier 16g. bright aluminum but I can also do pieces in jeweler's brass (yellow brass). Chris.

I'm an accountant. But the greatest compliment I ever received was "You don't act like an accountant."

Hey resinslinger, I spent quite a bit of time at Ft. Jackson during my stay in the Army so I know your area fairly well

When I am not in command of some Army of the Whatever, I spend my days as a staff accountant for a marketing firm.

I worked for BT, Britain's largest communications supplier, for over 31 years, mainly in Sales and Marketing. Took voluntary redundancy last year and now work part time at a local tourist information centre. Considerably less money, but also a far better quality of life. No regrets.

Trucker. I deliver laundry to hotels, hospitals and various institutions.
9 hour days, but 4-5 of them are sitting in the truck listening to music, so not too bad. Only downside is that I work at night, so I live pretty much like a vampire

I'm taking a break from being a cocktail tester on luxury cruise liners and masseur for exotic dancers to open Uncle Neilster's Beachside Camp for Wayward Catholic Schoolgirls. It has a pretty strict regimen with a heavy emphasis on swimming and beach volleyball. Basically it's a community service

Cheers, Neilster

I have been in the computer field since the mid 70's. I have been an operator, programmer, analyst and networker. Now I work on enterprise level backup software for a large company known for AV software. Not sexy, but it pays for my gaming

I've been a Tanker Truck driver for the last 18yrs. 17 yrs hauling hazardous waste liquids. This last year I switched to hauling Hazardous chemicals(Acids,Caustics, Flammables.

hoping to leave trucking this year and get into something else. But its hard for a 60 year old man to be taken seriously for a job.

Customs officer at the airport.I immigrate, emigrate, question and search people and their baggage. I've also been a farm shepherd, fishmonger, gardener, furniture removalist and a soldier. Working for customs has been the best yet.
