I'm not sure if it's a problem on my end or not, but sometimes space creature become completely invisible. My ships can detect them and will attack them automatically, but I can't order them to since I obviously can't see them. It mostly occurs with Ardilus(not sure how to make that plural) and the mass of giant kaltors at that special location when main story events are turned on. They also are not appearing on the mini map.

Asteroids and space slugs sometimes blink in and out of existence, but seems to only happen when zooming in and out. I don't remember them doing this in Legends, so the problem occurred after Shadows. Unfortunately I have no idea which version Shadows was when I started noticing it. Basically I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this in order to find out whether or not it is only happening to me or if it's a bug. I'll try for a screen shot the next time this happens.

I have commonly encountered disappearing space slugs in shadows, same as it used to be in legends. It is not only on zooming. They will pop back into visibility after a while and ships which are automated or have them targeted are not affected. Reported this back in legends and it was ignored.

There was an old bug, much reported, with invisible kaltors but I believe it was claimed to have been fixed. Never had that problem myself but I don't play with the story events turned on so maybe that has something to do with it? Ardilus do hyperjump though, so is it possible that they are doing that?

An Ardilus got really close to my home world one time, causing all of the civilian ships to panic and the patrolling ships to attack. The only way I knew it was an Ardilus was because the ships were either "retreating from Ardilus of..." of "attacking Ardilus of...". The ships would shoot at an invisible target for a while, then return to patrol. One even got damaged if I remember correctly. So I don't think it was hyperjumping. It may have become invisible as a result of a hyperjump, like the image got messed up or something.

I think the slugs will sometimes go back inside the planet to hide and pop back out as a ship gets within attack range. At least that is what it looks like to me.
