Sorry guys, but with the disruption from Historicon we have nothing planned for this week. Check back again next week.
Erik, I understand Historicon has taken up alot of time and energy but you are losing income and sales. I would put some resources in putting up the Deal of the Week.
Patrick
PS. I hope you guys are making a decent profit on these games on sale.

I believe your answer is hidden inside Eric's reply above, but I, like everyone else commenting on Matrix's business model and marketing strategies in these forums, have no idea.
Darkstar, this is what Eric said last week:
"ORIGINAL: Iain McNeil
Hi guys
sorry but we have let this one roll over because of Historicon. We are frantically trying to catch up and left the current deal live for another week. Hopefully normal service will resume next week! "

Holy cow Robin, there is a horrible case of impatienceitis going around. Jeez.

But they told us last week that they were busy with Historicon stuff and they'd definitely get back to a DOTW this week. Now ee get the same story.
THOSE OF US WHO DIDNT GO TO HISTORICON ARE CUSTOMERS TOO. WE DESERVE THE SAME CONSIDERATION.
And now they're busy doing whatever is needed to catch up with things that got put off to attend it.
Oh, by the way, shouting about it isn't going to make your point. Your attitude shows you don't deserve any.
And what did those who went get that you didn't? An unknown sale you don't know about?
I didn't go either. I suspect most didn't go. And yet, they are not crying about it. You should be grateful that they are not going to the WBC in Lancaster this year. You'd really be unhappy then. ( I kinda wish they would. I bought Star Shatter and War in The Pacific there from them. Even had a nice conversation about Total Annililation with one of the guys. It's been years though.)

I'm patiently waiting and saving most of my money for the christmas sale and RTWII and Talisman digital online version and Heroes of Stalingrad no hurry. It'll be next year before ya know it.

Staffing is also a problem guys, we are in the middle of summer and school holidays, almost everybody has got a family with kids and many are off a week or two, this for publishers and developers alike.
Some keep on working, but especially here in Europe these coming two weeks are high season holiday and all is slowed down a bit.

Well, I like seeing Matrix having weekly sales, but I haven't bought anything, yet. I already had one or two that have been on sale and the rest I'm not interested in. Actually, I'm not really interested in any of Matrix's games available currently. I already own about 10 of them. They have some that haven't been released, yet, that are definitely going to be must-haves, though.

Just my two cents.
Maybe next week.
Oh well, back to OOTP. Go Dodgers.
Back To APBA, computer and dice for me. Yes indeed, Go Dodgers!

Oh dear ... this is bad Ju-Ju. Try walking into any High Street store and complaining that they don't have anything with a discounted sale price. What do you think they would say? IMHO we customers we have the right to take our money elsewhere but we do not have the right to demand that Matrix give us a deal every week.
Thank you Matrix for the sales when they do appear. You don't always get it right but you are clearly innovating in this area and we appreciate it.

Especially as they never said that they would "definitely" get to it, but said *Hopefully* they would. Sometimes things just don't work out.

I understand why no new deals are offered this week but can say that I too am disappointed. I have been looking forward to these new deals each Monday even if I dont buy as I wonder if this is the day that the game I really want will be available for a discount.

Incurable too.
I hear John and Peter in Uttoxeter are working on a cure for this. Maybe Warspite has some info about the project.

Good to know. If anyone would know, it would be Warspite.
Yes, he would know. He lives in Uttoxeter and is related to John.

NO! Marjorie tricked me out of the title deeds when I was in a weak moment - DAMN!!!
We'll have to dig up some dirt on her then. Give Flanigan, Branigan, and Iskovich a call. They're investigators for the firm of Dewey, Fleecem, and Howe.
