We all ask the questions, but for a change here is the answer instead of the question.

I have several of the Conflicts series on my tablet from Joni. They play well and they are not to be mistaken for junk nonsense, they are old school board game looking designs.

I recommend any of the Android equipped among us to check them out. Some are better as a result of being evolutions of earlier efforts (which is par for the course with wargames as a rule).

We all already know Victor for his Advanced Tactics games here, but I wonder how many of you have given a decent look at his tablet games.

Small General is a very easy to enjoy design and makes great use of a tablet. He has released as historical evolution of Small General for the Eastern Front as well.

Some will know doubt utter the silly terms 'dummied down' and imply they are not serious wargames.
I sometimes wonder about some of you boys though.

If you have not played some of these on your tablets, you are missing out.

Granted, I would love to be playing Battle Academy and Panzer Corps, but, I chose to save 200 bucks when I bought my Asus Transformer a couple of years ago :) Maybe I can get an iPad in 2014. Maybe I will also need to settle for carrying my laptop.

thanks for the links

i'll probably get one of the new Nexus 7 tablets when they are out (soon i think) and was wondering what, if any, wargames were available

They run ok on my current Nexus 7 so the new one likely will be no trouble for you.

I wish Victor would patch the East Front game some more. I want to like it, but can't get past the early war unit interaction which has elite German units failing in their attacks right at the start.

David Kershaw also has a bunch of really good Android (and iOS) wargames that are small, simple, easy to learn but have lots of depth

I agree. I like the look of his new Korean War remake. I played the demo a couple times and am looking forward to downloading the pay version when it appears.
