I'm fairly new to this game but when I play the Midway scenario as the Japanese all I get to do is watch endless attacks by American planes against my forces. I launch a simple air strike at Midway and a sighted US force but all I ever get to see are their attacks against my forces.

This is the most totally boring game that I have ever seen if that is all that happens. I want to see what my forces are doing to the enemy. I don't get any reports nothing! What is going on?

You need to give a little more info.
What do you have your options set at (highlighted orange in pic)? Note: make sure to hit advanced options button.
Do you get any battle result popups or click on bottom buttons ingame which are reports (highlighted in yellow in pic)?
