Game started a month or so ago with 101 Axis morale. Gonna keep this 3-4 turns behind the real game.

Turn one AGN usual advance.

Turn one AGC. A few more routs then usual as I was careless moving some panzers who brushed up against a few stacks of routed units.

AGS turn 1 - I went with the option of not hitting the border. I will have to revisit this in the future with the new rule about the Rumanians. Most likely I will do a Hybrid of both strategies going forward.

I don't send motorized units to Rumania typically but do send an extra corps from the AGN reserves. I also send one high morale division from 4th army for a total of 3 extra divisions. I don't have an issue with sending the motorized units I just find them to be more usefull turn one.

turn 3 start ags - Lvow pocket closes. Vinnista pocket is a bonus and came from herding his checkerboard.

I'm glad to see somebody still whacks the heck out of the SOV airforce on T1. The last 3 games I have played (Dr. Hitman, Pelton, and Bozo) the SOV lost only about 1000 airships instead of your 3300 kills. I'm not buying that it is a good GER tactic to save your airforce for suppy. I'm trying to keep good records of air losses in my game against Bozo and on T11 I have lost only about 2500 airships with him losing about 600.  His losses will increase, particularly recon and transport, as we go forward and I still haven't lost as many airships as usual on T1.

I still use my usual method of whacking the Soviet airforce. I really try to get the level bombers as much as possible. Some of the other Axis players I believe use all the bombers to move fuel around. I only use the JU 52s for that.

Back in the day I hit 6500 killed Soviet planes one game before all the patches.

Ketza, I read your air -attacking strategy in your past post, and adopted them.
thanks for sharing them.

Look how poorly your JG 27 performs. You moved it over the border after turn 1. Originally they are positioned at 39/55. What you do oversee is that they are not in CR. 5 other Fliegerhorste are not in CR too. To name them it is LW 10/ 11/ 12/ 14/ 16/ 22. If you move them in range of their commanding units, or other way around, befor you start to move your infantry they too participate in the turkey shooting. And your Do 117 and Ju 87 are later when you bomb the airfields far more deadly, reaching more enemy airfields and do not loose so much moral in turn 1, so that you may proudly present your bomber score as well. Do you use groundsupport 0 and groundsupportescort 300? That to the Luftwaffe.
Your opponent must be inexperienced to give you 101 moral, one sees is in his turn 1 and 2. He could as well give you 110. 101 means that by Winter 85% of your german units are above 85. He will not love that and abandon the game early.
Your opening is deadly for the Sov. All west Proskurov is doomed. Front South exept 2corps, 1 Panzer, 1 Krim inf. is lost after T 3 if you manage to neutralize Odessa.
Your playstyle is I kill what ever I can and what I have will not escape. I dont go for the stars, but have quiet some birds in my hand.
That you sacrifice your RRrepair ( see T1 north ) for some more prisoners is not my liking. I do not even see that you have moved them at all. RRrepair is a holy cow for me. At least what is in their way has to go.
One thing more. Why not 3-4 hex east Rowno? Then even Kiev and east dnepr is possible at T2 if he is not carefull or not knowing. And that is even more valuable than any save pocket.

I see you did not move PC XIV by rail west Kishinev in T2. So Front South has escaped. You could have sacked it compleetly. Shame on you.

I believe the new patch will make your first turn in the south mute. All those units will be able to rail out. For now, however, it's a good opening.

2 tank, 1 Mot and 2 more units at the northern end of the front. Only the 2PDs and the mot are saveable via RR at turn 2. At turn 3 that units too are immobile again. That is how it is now, at least if you park PC XIV 1 hex away from the border and not violate the 89 activation line in the north. If you add one Mot, 86+ at turn 2 railing south that one will have 50 MP at turn 3. The more difficult thing is to at least neutralize Odessa, since hasty attacks will not break that lev 4 defence, and if you just move that unit northeast Odessa only it will sack the whole front but still evacuation by sea is possible for GHC. So if you let a whole front unnessessarily escape an armchair general may critizise it. I know Ketza is a good player and critics are only to improve play. GHC needs any help as the game is now. BTW we are all way beyond 50 and should be able to deal with it.

Since this was mostly a test I am going to end this AAR for now because of the patch and start a new AAR as a Soviet under the new patch.

here are a few screenies from the last turn. Here is his Leningrad defense begin of turn 7:

In the game I captured some 40 AP points as he seemed to be dedicating his rr capacity to moving units around. He also left behind most of the 3 point AP factories.

I will continue to play the game just not update the AAR unless it gets really interesting.
