+1 to what Telumar says here. Terrain plus well dug in units will draw a lot of blood from the Germans, they will then face the choice either move more units there, or slog it out with the units Fogger has.
I always feel a bit uncomfortable when Leningrad is evacuated prematurely, as it would make comrade Stalin extremely unhappy.

Een andere tester voor mijn scenario! Josh, would you beta-test Kharkov '43, just 8-12 turns against Jo van der Plum?

Okay. You guys have talked me into defending Leningrad. I'll try to hang onto it as long as possible but I have no illusions that it's going
to hold out for very long. I too don't much like giving up on Leningrad but didn't think I have the troops to defend it. We'll ship some more
troops up there to help out and see what happens.

No Larry you do not want to do that. I would recommend that you withdraw to the Ural's and dig in there.

Hey Fogger dude......I think you may be the finest opponent I've faced so far ( in PBEM FITE ) and I thank you for all the fabulous
game play so far. Keep it up. Anyway, I've written up your suggestion and submitted it to STAVKA and I got back the
writeup with a stamp on the front in red ink. It said "Disapproved. Resubmit in 30 days for Final Disapproval."

Have to give John credit for a lot of unconventual moves so far in this game

I know. It's great. I'm having a blast even though I'm losing so far.

+ 1oo!

For me, this one here is definitively the most interesting AR of the whole Matrix stuff at the moment.
Please keep on!

Be sure to take your medicine and take care of yourself. I don't want to lose a good opponent.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm trying to make this AAR interesting and SOME people will exagerate their situation to do that and
I just wanted to take this oportunity to say that I'm not consciously trying to make this AAR more interesting by exagerating. I'm really
in the mess I'm posting about. I mean from my point of view it's really happening like I'm saying it's happening. But then I WOULD say
that wouldn't I? Anyway, see and judge for yourselves. John Fogger has advanced faster w/ more combat power than any other
opponent I've had and has made more progress than I remember any opponent making so far. And I'm really having a good time
w/ this game. Maybe I should post a saved game to this post to give people the chance to look around the battlefield some.
Nope, that won't work the file is too big. I can load it onto a file server somewhere and then post the link. How about that?

Here's the link to the saved game:
saved game and equip file

And the password is "test" without the quotes.

I think airfields do provide supply. This is after I dropped an airborne div to capture a bridge and airfield and then dropped a comdo unit to capture another airfield. As can be seen they do provide supply

Once more: Airfields do NOT provide supply.

Hm, you are right, but in some scenarios, for example Norm's Korea, overrun ROK units are supplied by air if they don't have hostile units next to them. An airfield is indeed not necessary

Loading the sal terminates TOAW with the message "You're playing with the wrong eqp file". If you could be so kind to make the file availablem too.

This must be a case of a hole in enemy ZOCs. Show me such a situation and i might explain it (or become a 'believer' finally ;) ).

Yeah, but this is exactly what the auditorium wish to see.
Thanks for your efforts, Comrade.

by the way, I don't think the complete war is allready completly lost... :-)
there is some hope left, at least with General Telumar's advice on your side (not joking, he's that good)

Okay it's now turn 17. Here's the north part of the front lines. John is making slow progress.

Here's the front lines in the middle. John is starting to mass his troops along the river south of Orsha. I'm thinking he's going to do a
mass crossing attempt. He knows I can't block everybody and so if he moves everybody some will get through. D'oh.

And here's the south part of the front lines. John is sill pressing to the SE and is making slow progress. He's dropped some
paratroopers ( the FJ division ) and will probably employ them again real soon now somewhere.

Here's how the air war is going. I need to remember that these numbers are subject to 'FOG OF WAR' and aren't necessarily accurate.
But for a ballpark figure they will do.

Here's the Leningrad area now. I've developed a weak spot in the north part of this area and nobody has moved yet so there's still time
to fix the problem. I'm just giving you guys the tour of the battlefield before I move anybody.

I'm dying to know if it's possible for one of my readers to get the file to load so he/she can really
take a good look around. I've never heard of any AAR aurthor who posted saved games before
so I kinda need to know if it works to know whether to do it again or not.

Here's a spot where John has units already across the river. I'm going to need some backup here ASAP. Talk about troops getting
right into the fight right off the train. This situation looks to be one of those alright.

A little south of the above post is this spot. Here John is coming across the river in a new spot. Luckily I railed some blockers into this
AO and they've disembarked just now and are ready to move out.

Here's another disaster in the making. John has units already up to the river and I've just barely started railing people into this AO to get
a bunch of blockers lined up at the riverbank. I need them there to stop the Axis when they leap the river. D'oh. This is getting really
exciting.
