My apologies if the manual explains this (I have only read through page 49), but what do the tri-colored bars (red, blue, green) on the stack counters represent? I understand the meaning of the purple (cohesion) and aqua-marine (manpower) bars on unit counters, but have found no reference yet to the bars on stack counters. Thanks.

I believe red is combat power?

Red is hits, blue is cohesion, and green is supply.
I asked this on the AGEOD forum and got lectured by a Frenchman who didn't like the way the post was structured. Weird over there sometimes.

After building a few units: green definitely represents supply and I'm assuming red is combat power and blue is cohesion.

aye sorry about that, he is a bit of gem .. I've had a wierd lecture off him about a year back (so its nothing personal to you)

Worth noting that the red bar reflects the number of elements still intact (even if damaged), so its not quite losses against absolute strength, but elements in use against the total number of elements that unit should have

Thanks for the update. I wish they kept the coloring consistent between unit counters and stack counters (cohesion is purple on unit counters but blue on stack counters); would make it easier to understand, especially when it's not documented in the manual.

+1
That's a really weird design decision by AGEOD!

Update: the red bar on stack counters actually represents the current number of hits present in the stack as a % of the total number of hits in the stack when each unit is at full strength.

Thanks for the clarification. Can't spot any reference to this in the manual which seems strange.

This is too late for the first patch, but we will check how to be more consistent in colors.

I'm surprised one of the team lectured any player, if that's me, this is not intended by far (barrier language?). We are not of the haughty sort at Ageod, really.

It wasn't a team member Pocus. You guys couldn't be more hospitable. Someone with the handle ERRISS I think.

True. It seems AGEOD is listening to your suggestion. At the beta section of AGEOD forum they have already changed it to blue both in unit counter and in stack counter.

I posted the quickfix for it at the AGEOD's forum.

You need to extract quickfix file and paste over original files for counter colors to match.

Just extract it to folder CW2\Graphics\Icons&Bullets\Units

It will replace the old unit cohesion counters.
Enjoy.

The funny part is that he doesn't even *own* the game.

Don't thank me. AGEOD decided to listen to your suggestions. I was merely posting the files from the latest beta

I'll have to travel over to the AGEOD forum and pick this up. Thanks for posting here.
