Got the game last night. Like it a lot.

Question: is there some setting I do not have on that will cause the game to go to 1:1 time compression if there's a new contact? Kind of like the Harpoon Staff Assistant would pop up to tell you there was some important event happening (missile detected, etc)?

Go to "Game"->"Game options"->"Message Log" tab

Check "Raise Pop-up" for Message type "New contact", that should give you a pop-up and stop game time.

Note though that in the popup if you hit continue it'll go at the original time setting (for example 30 sec).

If you want to go to 1:1 you click remain stopped (sons thing along those lines) and manually go to 1:1 before unpausing
