Got the 'little' details done now. Did the A/J History and A/J Detail that are the text files to go with Scen 50. Will add that to the art files.

Sorry been away for a while - is RA 6 finished? Your website still says 5.5?

Yep!

Website hasn't been updated due to me not being able to find my password...FatR always did the updates and I haven't been able to make contact with him recently.

Those who have asked for the files will now be getting a resend.

Differences:
1. Game Files need to be replaced with the fixes that we have done over the last couple of days.
2. Art Zipped Files:
---French Fleet present in AE Mod Art Folder. You will have to click and drag but everything is there. Thanks to Stephane for all the work there. (Adding his name to the Designers Credits)
---A/J Detail and A/J History rounds out the 'details' side of the Mod. They get dropped into the Scen File

Questions?

My French class BC Dunkerque should have ART for bit 833. I seem to be missing the ART or the bit is different. Which is it??

More French ART missing. AS Jules Verne is bit 832 ART. Also not there.

No radar when French subs get upgrade.

CVB Midway and Franklin Roosevelt don't have any air groups!!

1. Have already sent a query to Stephane regarding the art.
2. Never even thought about a French SS Upgrade...
3. NEVER touched Midway and Roosevelt. Are the air groups there but not connected to the CVB somehow?

Calling...

Ship #3046 Kearsage was the old Midway. The old Midway-A/C (Squads 1780-1793) (VF-74, VBF-74, VB-74, VT-74) is now on CV Kearsage
Ship #3047 Princeton II was the old Kearsage. The old Kearsage-A/C is now here. An old Princeton II doesnt exist.

The new Midway and the new FDR are on new Slots (#5021+5022)

It seems, there are no squads created for both CVB

CVB Midway and Roosevelt now fixed. Had to fix CV Kearsage as well. For some reason she was getting the Midway's air group...

DON'T ASK because I don't know...

Michael (NY59Giants)will be the contact person for the next few days. My family and I are going to Kansas City until Sunday.

As to the Midway--Roosevelt--Kearsage question, I fixed their groups. All three of these carriers don't come in until 1946 so I consider this not to be a big deal. If you do, pm Michael and he can send you the revamped files.

CL Pasadena (#3286) and CL Biloxi (3287) are starting with an independence-class aircroup (aircroup slot #1857-1860). Don't know, where their recon group are.

Is there a possibility to autocreate the tangier-aircroups just after conversion? AV Tangier starts with the CVE-aircroup and disembark them. Or create these 6 squads as landbased units in the mid of 1942 - with no planes and low exp, no carrier trained. So these groups need some times to get ready.

btw, what's the meaning of delay "9999"?

"9999" means the unit never appears in the game.

OK. I am home from Kansas City and HOPING my Chiefs go to 4--0. Sorry Michael but your team MUST FALL so KC can do that!

This air group issue MUST be due to work from FatR shifting Perfect War stuff over to this. FRUSTRATING. Wish my playtesters had spotted all this earlier but time to get it fixed. Not really a big deal just will take some time.

Going to work...

That would be FOUR and ZERO!!!

BANZAI (or is that Tomahawk CHOP) Kansas City!

I multi-tasked and got all the floatplane groups dealt with. Checked all CV--CVL--most CVEs.

To my knowledge the Commencement Bay Class didn't start with organic planes. Is this correct?

I am not---yet again--sending the scenario files until I KNOW WE ARE OK. Want to know if there are other issues.

The FP Group issues make no sense. It MUST have been something from FatR's work elsewhere. Have had to clean up a bunch of stuff and this just adds to the list.

In Scenario 2:

CVE Commencent Bay has VRF-11F with 24 x F6F-5 and VRF-11FB with 24 x F4U-1D
CVE Block Island has VRF-15F with 24 x F6F-5 and VRF-15T with 24 x TBM-1C
CVE Gilbert Islands has VRF-12F with 24 x F6F-5 and VRF-12T with 24 x TBM-1C
CVE Cape Gloucester has VRF-13F with 24 x F6F-5 and VRF-13FB with 24 x F4U-1D
CVE Vella Gulf has VRF-14F with 24 x F6F-5 and VRF-14T with 24 x TBM-1C

So, no, the 5 Commencement Bay CVEs were set up to be aircraft replenishment CVEs.

It appears that R.A. 6.1 has more Commencement Bay CVEs than stock, but none of them have air
groups.

VRF-12F and VRF-12T are on CVL Chateau Thierry needs to be fixed
VRF-15F and VRF-15T are on CVL Varennes needs to be fixed
VRF-11F, VRF-11FB, VR-14F, VRF-14T, VRF-13F, and VRF-13FB do not exist in RA 6.1

Hi John,

there are so many CVE and VFMs ingame, you doesnt need airgroups for these late CVEs. The Tangier-Class Airgroups should be moved to Alameda or San Diego only as carrier capbable. So you have to train them for carrier use (in the first month on Lady Lex or so). They need some times to be carrier trained.

I dont know, where the failure with the floatplanes comes from. These groups are linked to old shipspots and the ships was moved to another spots (mostly to 50xx).

btw these japanese carrier south of the Philippines are a nightmare for allied player rescuing slow ships from Manila to Soerabaja. Was trying to drive back with POW and Repulse in night raids. Two times successfully, now he cut me off from Soerabaja I think. Interesting nightmare.

LCU

5800 Mobiele Eenheid Bn has as 2nd weapon 984 180kmm CD Gun. It must be Vickers Carden-Lloyd Tanks. And does not need the suffix Bn.

5808 KNIL Mariener Bde. The Dutch Marines where no part of the KNIL but Navy. And Mariener mus Mariniers

5809 1st KNIL (T) Bde must be Tiger Bde. This was also no KNIL unit but volunteers of the Dutch Army

5823 Marinier Bn must be Mariniers Bn and also not a KNIL unit but Navy.

I do miss Korps Insulinde compagnie size Commando unit. This is also not a KNIL unit. But a part was from the KNIL.

ThinMan: I concur with that thinking. I am going to have those air units arrive at San Diego on their historic times and let the player decide what they want to do. There are SOOOOO many Marine and extra units coming in they can easily be used by these CVEs. We did add a few more and so that helps to further the Allied cause.

Having CarDIv2 (KB-3) at Babeldoap will be horrific for the Allies. Given the entire point of RA (gaining the DEI ASAP) it makes great sense for that to happen.

For those who have gotten the files and those still waiting I apologize for the all the issues. I wanted SOOOOOOOO badly to get the release done that I hurried it and feel horrible.

Am currently working on a RA Group Email list so I can send to EVERYONE at the same time.
