It occurs to me that it might be helpful to put various requests for new platforms, etc. in one thread. The Command databases are big enough that they'll keep most scenario builders busy and happy for quite a while, I think, but I'm sure there are a few things people would like to see added.

Just to get thing started, here are a few things I'd like to see added when it is possible to do so (I apologize in advance if they are already in there and I somehow missed them)...

Pacific-class patrol boat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pacific-class_patrol_boat

Barracuda-class submarine (France)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Barracuda_class_submarine

F125-class frigate (German)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F125-class_frigate

Global Combat Ship/Type 26 Frigate (UK)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_26_frigate

Allende-class frigate (Mexico)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allende_class_frigate <-- this one should be easy, as I believe it is simply a Knox with some of the equipment removed.

Oaxaca-class patrol vessel (Mexico)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oaxaca_class_patrol_vessel

Durango-class patrol vessel (Mexico)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durango_class_patrol_vessel

Cessna 208 Caravan

I'm requesting an additional DB entry for the German RF-4E Phantom. In the current DB, the plane only has unarmed recon loadouts, but from 1978 to 1982, the planes were modified for an additional air to ground role. They would carry BL.755 as well as the other GP bombs used by the Luftwaffe in that timeframe.

As I understand it, you cannot mix and match platforms from different databases in the same scenario. Or can you?

Assuming that you cannot, I would like to see the Cessna O-2 Skymaster (which is in the CWDB) added to the modern database, too--it looks like it is STILL in use in a few countries. Some information can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O-2_Skymaster

When it is possible to do so, please do the same with the OV-1 Mohawk, which I believe is in the CWDB already, but not the DB3000, although it served with US forces as late as the Gulf War.

(A number of my requests will be along these lines, getting older platforms already in the CWDB into the DB3000, if it is appropriate to do so (i.e., if they are really active during those years)...I'm interested in writing scenarios about conflicts between smaller nations, which often have an interesting collection of older aircraft and ships in their inventory, or between such nations and a small task force from a more powerful nation like the UK or France...)

Thanks!

And a few more suggestions...

Shardul-class tank landing ship (India)

520MK Black Tiger

I dug out some Info available on different sites (some in German):

http://web.archive.org/web/20080418140127/http://www.bw-flyer.de/neu/flugzeuge/phantom/rf4e.html
http://www.flugrevue.de/luftfahrt-militaer/flugzeuge-helikopter/rf-4e-die-erste-deutsche-phantom/524432
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonnell_Douglas_F-4_Phantom_II_non-U.S._operators
http://www.modellboard.net/index.php?action=printpage;topic=2047.0
http://forum.keypublishing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=167622&d=1228906732

The German RF-4E was modified from 1978 to 1982 to carry cluster and GP bombs to perform a secondary A2G role. Weapons could be carried on up to three triple ejector racks, as can be seen on the last link above. Sidewinders were NOT carried, as a former munitions oficer of the Aufklärungsgeschwader 51 confirmed in the discussion thread linked above. The weapons carried were BL.755 and GP bombs made by Matra, similar to the US Mk80 series. I don't know if these are modeled in CMANO, if not, it would seem best to just use the same GP bombs the German F-4F can carry in the same period.

Please assume any I have posted up until now are "medium" priority--I plan to use them someday, but there's no rush. (I'm assuming "high" is "Please! I need it for a scenario I'm writing!" and "low" is "Don't know if I'll ever use this, but someone might, so it's worth putting in.") I'll give any future requests a rating. Thanks!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_Grumman_X-47C
Priority: Medium

I have no idea what the official name will be, but "Medusa" made sense...it keeps with the mythological thread started with Pegasus, and Medusa seemed appropriate...after all, if you see her, it means you die. :)

Dassault Neuron (France...and maybe others?)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassault_neuron
Priority: Medium

Beechcraft King Air (Civilian..and maybe others? Lots of military users...are there any differences with the civilian versions?)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beechcraft_King_Air
Priority: Low

Beechcraft Super King Air (Civilian..and maybe others? Lots of military users...are there any differences with the civilian versions?)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beechcraft_Super_King_Air
Priority: Medium

Beechcraft Queen Air (Civilian..and maybe others? Lots of military users...are there any differences with the civilian versions?)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beechcraft_Queen_Air
Priority: Low

Pilatus PC-12 (Civilian..and maybe others? Lots of military users...are there any differences with the civilian versions?)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilatus_PC-12
Priority: Low

Chotia Weedhopper (Civilian) <-- The most popular ultralight in the world...just the thing to add a little more noise to the battle environment...or perhaps get used by a spy or a terrorist to spot something someone else does not want them to see. :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chotia_Weedhopper
Priority: Medium

Let L-410 Turbolet (Various)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Let_410_Turbolet
Priority: Low <-- I don't know if I will ever need this, but more than 1,000 have been built and they are used all over the world, so it's definitely something that might be useful to someone

And a few more...

(By the way, I know it will take a while to get all these added...I'm just posting them here as I think of them so that the database editors will have something they can refer to. Like I said, "Medium" means "Someday, please, but there's no rush." Thanks in advance.)

Nomad 1000-T (Civilian)
http://www.ussubmarines.com/submarines/nomad_1000_t.php3
http://www.ussubmarines.com/submarines/nomad_1000_t_technical.php3
Priority: Medium

Yes, it's a private submarine! Just the thing for drug lords...

Lifeboat (Civilian)
There are dozens of models available...I took at a guess at the "average" one with this 6.5-m, 15-person lifeboat...
http://www.norsafe.no/Products/Rescue/MOB-650/
http://www.norsafe.no/Products/Rescue/MOB-650/Documents/
Priority: Medium

Inf Sec (Pirates) (Pirates)
You could just use the Observation Post Sec, as it has the one machine guns and nothing else (maybe give them a couple of rocket launchers, too?), but change the name (for the sake of Victory conditions, etc.)
Priority: Medium

Inf Sec (Criminals)(Generic)
You could just use the Observation Post Sec, as it has the one machine guns and nothing else (maybe give them a couple of rocket launchers, too?), but change the name (for the sake of Victory conditions, etc.) This can be used to model drug dealers, etc.
Priority: Medium

Civilians (Civilian)
Basically, this is just a platoon with no weapons. They cannot fight. But they may need to be protected. Or rescued. Or they might just be close to something that has to be destroyed, but God help you if you hit them by accident.

Building (Complex) (Generic)
This is simply a generic 1,200-point structure, something the size of a palace, bigger than a single very large building, but not necessarily a palace. It could be an office complex, a shopping mall, a college, etc.
Priority: Medium

Structure (Water Treatment Plant) (Generic)
Basically, just use the Industrial Plant, but change the name for the sake of victory conditions, etc.
Priority: Medium

Bridge (Railroad) (Generic)
Unless the 60-ton single lane bridge is meant to be a railroad bridge? Sorry, it isn't clear if that's what you meant. Maybe just add it anyway so there is no confusion about it?
Priority: Medium

I just noticed most US and NATO tactical fighters are missing their B-61 nuclear loadouts. One of the few that doesn't is the A-6, which has a B-61 loadout available.
It's missing for, among others: Tornado, F-16, F-15E, F-111E/F and probably lots of others. All these planes are nuclear capable and had or even still have a nuclear strike role. British Tornados are also missing their WE.177 bombs.

Edit:
German Tornado's also don't have any retarded bombs in their loadouts. Right now, they only have the Mk83 LDGP bombs, not allowing them to do low altitude laydown attacks. They should also get the Mk83AIR ballute-retarded versions, which are used in reality, as this video shows:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ei5ClUzTB0g&feature=youtu.be&t=1m48s

Edit 2:
The top speed (full speed) of the B-52H is much too low, at just 350 knots. Looking at online sources, cruise speed should be around 420 knots, with full speed something like 500kts.

And a few more...

Cessna 205/206/207 (Civilian)

Priority: Low <-- a common enough aircraft that it should be in the database eventually, but there’s no rush

Cessna 310 (Civilian)

Priority: Low <-- a common enough aircraft that it should be in the database eventually, but there’s no rush

KAI T-50 Golden Eagle (South Korea; Indonesia)

Priority: Medium

Sikorksy S-76 (Various)

Priority: Low <-- widely used and probably worth adding someday

Swiftships Model 35PB1208 E-1455
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swiftships_Model_35PB1208_E-1455
Priority: Medium <-- the start of the new Iraqi navy

Small Arms (Generic)
Not sure how to model this, but basically this can be used for situations where a group might have some pistols, rifles, shotguns, etc., but not military grade weapons. Like the crew of a merchant ship. Range is probably only 0.1 miles. Damage (at least at the level at which Command handles it) is probably the same as the 7.62 machine gun, though.
Priority: Medium

Building (Drug Lab) (Generic)
Use Building (Medium)
Priority: Medium

Terrorist Nuke (Terrorists)
This can probably be based off the 5-kt nuke; any changes would be that it is the sort of thing that would get hidden inside a cargo container and used to blow up a port instead of being dropped from an airplane.
Priority: Medium

ICGV Þór (Iceland) <-- Þór means “Thor” if English has to be used
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICGV_%C3%9E%C3%B3r
Priority: Low <-- Iceland should be in the database eventually

Ægir-class offshore patrol vessel
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%86gir_class_OPV
Priority: Low <-- They participated in the Cod Wars

Clase F-110 (Spain)
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clase_F-110
Priority: Medium <-- next generation Spanish warship (expected in service c. 2018-2020)

OPV-70 (Morocco)

Priority: Medium

MQ-8C - the Charlie version is based on the Bell Jetranger/Kiowa model, but with 12 hours mission duration instead of the Bravo's 5.5 hours. Also, per another link I posted here (Seapower Digital Magazine OCT 2013), the Charlie will have the same EO/IR sensor suite as the B plus a ZPY-4 Surface Search radar set (nice).

Also, can we request the FireScouts all have the APKWS loadout now that it's set for IOC in 2014 please?

Now that we're in 1.0 release, I will re-request FA/50 and TA/50 jets for South Korea please.

Finally - can we add some Navantia (Spain) configs please:

Navantia 1400 BVL - http://www.navantia.es/ckfinder/userfiles/files/BVL%281%29.pdf

Navantia 1800 Corvette - http://www.navantia.es/ckfinder/userfiles/files/Avante%201800%20Corvette_r01%281%29.pdf

Navantia 2200 Frigate - http://www.navantia.es/ckfinder/userfiles/files/Avante%202200%20Combatant%281%29.pdf

Thanks!
