Hi, I´m not sure If I´m doing it wrong, but I cannot find a way to avoid this:

After my a/c´s had made a pass over a naval target and dropped their bombs, they turn and go straight to base (as an automatic RTB order) climbing and not following the route and altitude I´ve plotted for them as a safe exit from the attack. The problem with this is they ignore the presence of other threats (ships and PACs) and many get immediately killed.
Is there a command that would allow me to avoid this and follow strictly my plotted route?

Some suggestions (mostly for aircrafts not in groups)

-It would be useful to be able to select many units and state waypoints for them simultaneously, and not one by one. This would be useful with aircrafts, if you want to have a better control of their formation.

-Also, when stating waypoints, would be great to be able to erase one of them (for example the last one) and not erase them all and have to re-plot the route again.

-Similar to the previous one... Add waypoints to a route already plotted.

-Multiple selection available for setting up speed and altitude.

A side not that may help... I used to have problems loading missions I created. I solved the problem going back to the 1.0 .exe and pasting (over it) 1.01 .exe again. All the missions were available once more and never again loading errors.

So far, Command became the only gaming in my PC, being mostly your wanderful editor the reason. Too much to do, not enaugh time .
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Alejo

Sidedoctrine & RoE RTB when Winchester No , to follow plotted course rightclick unit- attack options - uncheck ignore plotted course when attacking.

I think thats teh way it works right now?

Click/Highlight the WP, press F3 and make new WP from there.

I agree, made a similar request.

When I select, for example, a flight of 4 a/c´s not in formation and plot a route, it draws it for only one of them. Will check that again, and see if I´m making a mistake...

Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer each question Burns.

Thanks. I was wondering about this myself. Is there a way to bring them out of RTB. Plotting a new course doesn't seem to work. Or will the 'Side doctrine & RTB' selection fix this issue?

Assigning a/c missions, including the RTB aspect, automates their pathfinding, restricting it to the most direct route from A to B. Obviously this is not optimal in certain circumstances. So, for example, if you want a/c to launch on a mission without transiting through an enemy SAM site directly in their path, it's best to make the mission in advance but not assign the aircraft until you have manually launched them as a group and sent them to loiter at a safe RP with a safe direct route to the target. Assign them to the mission then. I think it's essentially the same when you want a/c to RTB safely; you have to not allow automatic
RTB but usher them to a manually set point from which they can RTB avoiding danger zones. It would be great if the devs could combine automated mission logic with manual route-making.
