ORIGINAL: Primarchx I don't support the need for lake inclusion. The game requires they be below sea level for them to be water. Lake Michigan is at 577' ASL. This means that a ship on the lake is 600' lower than the shore around it, which may have significant game ramifications and is just funky when you think about working with it. Command is about NAVAL operations on the OCEAN, IMHO. I'm just glad we have the Suez and Panama canals available. Adding lake ops is a very distant goal, IMHO. Navy frigates used to cruise the Great Lakes every summer up until '99. Granted, it was in a more or less ceremonial role, but still. No, it wouldn't make sense to have the USS George Washington and a Kirov battle cruiser duke it out on one of the Great Lakes, but as the original poster noted, they could be fun for small scenarios. Minute ones maybe. Whose to say there will never be some pirates on Lake Superior? Or the Canadians get frisky and decide to re-create the Battle of Lake Erie??? This sim is billed as making the world your playground, well I would love the Great Lakes in mine! haha Though, I will allow that there are more pressing things to work on than Lakes, but someday it would be cool. I shall wait patiently
