There were some attacks, mostly bombardment by planes, but nothing has changed in the positions of the units in the middle.

Here's the southern part of the front lines. There was some progress by the Axis units in a hex or two but mostly nothing changed.

I'm trying to accumulate a strategic reserve and I've started w/ the Heavy Duty Guards units at Moscow. I've got a handful of them now
and I'm leaving them on the railroad for fast dispatching.

As for my strategic reserve: I've scrapped together a bunch of armour and infantry and have parked it at Moscow and this is what it
looks like now:

Thank you for your kind words. I'm trying to make the AAR informative and presentable.......glad you like it.

John is experiencing a sort of slow-down in some places. There hasn't been any pushing going on in the middle of the battlefield, like
around Smolensk, say. Most of the pushing is taking place on the riverbank next to Kiev and around Leningrad. My guys are getting
stronger and they are rested and ready for the winter push. I've already started the probing to find weak spots. There are a few.

Does leaving those reserve units entrained but stationary count against your rail capacity?

Yes, it does. So I've unembarked all of them for more rail cap. I figure that they can move quickly enough w/o being on the train already.

It's now Wed. 23Oct2013 and I've just received some moves from John and I watched the replay and John didn't do much attacking this
time but he did about 4 combat rounds of aircraft bombardment of various bridges and ground units. The front line didn't change as far
as I can tell.

And in the middle: no change in the front lines. Except for the aerial bombardment this is a sort of quiet turn. A cold front has arrived
this turn.

approches.

Here's how the air war is going right now. So there's roughly parity in the air to air situation. Pretty cool. And just about time.

How much fog of war is there in reported enemy casualties? John made a comment to the effect that there was. I was not aware that there was any FOW regarding reported casualties.

It's my understanding that YOUR losses are exact since, well, you WOULD know about yours......but the enemy losses in aircraft are
inflated by some factor between 1.0 and 2.5 and I'm thinking it's chosen at random. Or something like that. We could get John to show
a screengrab of his aircraft losses and I could show the air war display and see what the difference is on one of these future turns.

So the short answer is : I'm guessing that the losses reported in the combat results screens are exact and the FOW effects are only for
the reported aircraft losses of your opponent.

I think it would be very interesting to have you and John post your aircraft losses for the same turn. Even more interesting would be to have you and John post your aircraft losses for two turns in a row. That way we could see if the FOW factor did indeed vary turn by turn. As a spectator I would be very interested (in learning more about the game). Of course its up to you and John to agree to this little experiment.

If you repeatedly open on the air report you will find that it's always the same three numbers. Actual enemy losses are the middle number divided by 2. :)

I think that's a great idea. Here's my losses in aircraft in T30:

Here's my strategic reserve. It's built around the 11th Guards Army formation. Trouble is, I don't have enough rail cap to move all of
them at once. D'oh.

I finally managed to make a movie showing the aircraft losses from T29 and T30. You can see for yourself how many losses there were
in T30 Axis turn.
