maybe its already in-there and i just don't know the key-combo?

otherwise here is the proposal:
I don't want the view simply slaved to the selected unit which would then sit in the middle of the screen
instead i want the view slaved to the unit and the unit keep it position on the screen where it was in the moment that the 'view salve to selected unist'-feature get activated (best with a single key press - on/off)

the idea behind it: the screen is rectangular and let's say my group on a strike is moving to the South East, so i scroll my view in a way that my unit is visible in the left upper portion of my screen and hit that new fuction key, and now the selected unit stays at that very position of my screen and the map rolls under it from the direction the unit is pointing too... in other situation it may sit off axis in another corner or in the center when it suits the tactical situation... that will be up to the user when he activates the fix-in-place

that was on my screen when i got the idea
