When i'm starting a new game I have quite a few optional rules greyed out. It does not matter which scenario I select or which mode of play. I can't get kamikazes, atomic bombs, frogmen, partisan hq's, guards banner armies, city based volunteers, naval supply units, convoy in flames, rough seas, oil tankers, v-weapons, surprised zoc's etc. Are they disabled for some reason or am I just missing something?

They have not been coded yet but will be included within a patch when done.

That's what I was thinking but I didn't want to miss it just because I didn't click something somewhere.

Wasn't there a V-weapon counter in Poland in that Decline and Fall AAR?

Cheers, Neilster

You are right - there was. But the Flying Bombs optional is defo greyed out. Maybe the code was not complete and so removed.

That's what I suspected.

The program lists all the optional rules. Those that are not implemented in the existing code are grayed out. Some of those will be added over the next month or so. See section 2 of the Players Manual for details.

I thought about simply removing optional rules from the list if they are not implemented, but then some players would spend time searching for them in vain. So I decided to list them. Note that some of the grayed out optional rules are not expected to make it into the game any time soon - if ever (e.g., Intelligence seem too complex to implement without revising it substantially).
