Change List: v1.0.2 - November 14, 2013 First Post-Release Update Windows Advisory • Windows font size needs to be set to ‘Normal’. When it is set to ‘Large’, MWIF displays many of the forms incorrectly and the game is unplayable. • The Windows “associated program” for the GAM extension should be left unassigned. If it is assigned to another program, MWIF saved game files (which have a GAM extension) will not load. • For monitors with only the minimum required height (768 pixels), the Windows Task Bar needs to be Hidden. Otherwise the Task Bar covers the bottom of the screen and the game is unplayable. Bug Fixes • Fixed a rare, but fatal, error related to displaying the Global Map. • Corrected the sequencing of the screenshots for the 7th tutorial. • Fixed a problem where if there were no units anywhere on the map which needed to be reorganized using oil, the program attempted to display the Use Oil form and generated a fatal error. Now the phase is simply skipped. • For NetPlay, in the Setup phase, fixed a problem with relocating oil points after placing them on the map. • For NetPlay, in the Use Oil phase, fixed a problem with terminating the phase after both sides completed the phase. • For NetPlay, added a check that the player has selected a post in the Seeking Opponent’s list before enabling him to post a reply. • For NetPlay, added checks to make sure NetPlay connections are still valid before sending data packets to the NetPlay forum or the other player’s computer. Disconnects had been causing fatal crashes when the program attempted to use a lost connection. Now there is an informative message that the connection has been lost. • For NetPlay, fatal errors, having to do with accessing the Seeking Opponent database, have been fixed. These were related to the connection being dropped because the search time within the database was excessive. Restructuring the database solved that difficulty. • Disabled the ability to restore a NetPlay game from within a current NetPlay game. Now if a player attempts to do this, the program displays an informative message and terminates. • For NetPlay, corrected several problems in the Breakdown phase, so the units involved are now in their correct place on both computers after corps sized units are broken down. Other Changes • Added credits for A. Suau for Persian land units write-ups in the MWIF land.txt file. • Removed Help messages references to Task Forces Details and Summary forms, which were on a features wish-list but never coded. • Added copies of the Fast Start saves in a separate folder \Fast Start Originals, as back-ups of the files. You can download the update by clicking "Check for Update" on the game menu that launches from your World in Flames desktop shortcut, or by going to our Downloads section here. Please note the download in the downloads section is still uploading and may take up to an hour to sync across our servers. http://www.matrixgames.com/products/296/downloads/
