After fight in the Western Med, with the Italians convincing the Brits to abort, there's no way to move any of the 8 aborting Brit ships to the right side of the form. When I click OK, I get the "you must select one unit...". I tried various combinations of ships, but in reality it was an overall abort so all of them are supposed to be heading back to Gibraltar. This is the second I've seen this. No way out except to crash the app, as far as I can tell.

One other possible clue - when I mouse over the ships I'm trying to select for the abort, the gray bar in the "command" box, or whatever it's called, shows a mouseover message of "Air units remaining to be setup for current setup location". There is one aborting Baffin sitting on the Ark Royal, and it displays No effect, as opposed to Aborted. Maybe related?

Frustrating, as the Italians had a nice round. : )

Okay, now I'm frustrated. I clearly have a messed up Western Med, as I've duplicated what I described. Think I'm going to take break. It's tough when you can't see what leads up the issue, and worse still there's no way to bail out of the form without killing the game and restarting.

As I described above, it appears that one of the Brit units just can't abort properly and is hanging the form from moving forward.

Has anyone else see something similar?

Try selecting the single unit and then hitting ok.

Naval units that abort have to have the same queue number. The program restricts this so that's not your problem.

But the units also have to be controlled by the same major power. That's probably not your problem either.

The most likely cause is that the units are in different section boxes. If you use the check boxes on the form, the section boxes will appear beneath the unit depictions.

Another possibility is that you are trying to move surface ships and submarines together, which isn't permitted.

And then it's possible that there is a bug. If you cannot move an individual unit, then it is definitely a bug.

At the time, I tried every combo possible for the 8 or so units that were available; regardless of these combinations I wasn't able to abort. Good news is, I haven't seen anything like this again through many of hours of play. If it occurs again, I'll definitely be back with more details.
