The first thing to do is to check to see if you have all the updates. 1.0.4.0 is the latest, but a new one is due out shortly (1.0.4.1).

As for not being able to find Hanko, does the language on your computer use a double character font? For example, Chinese or Japanese? If so, then you will need to switch to English, or another single character font.

Default language on my computer is Croatian. We have a few special letters like Czech or Poland language but not even close like Chinese or Japanese. I don’t know what double character font means. I have downloaded latest patch and the error "Can’t find city Hanko" remains. Actually, it says - "Hankø".

Still may be worth trying it with English.

Okay. The problem you have are unique. No one else has reported them, and Croatian shouldn't have a problem finding Hankø. The fact the last letter is correctly shown makes me want to dismiss choice of language as being the problem.

So let's move on. Trying to align Hungary or Finland causing a fatal error is surprising. And also unique.

Fatal errors get emailed to us and I have a complete collection. But it is difficult for me to know which one came from you because your forum name is not part of the email. What is the/your first name on your email? If I can see the Mad Except bug report, I'll have a better understanding of what is going wrong.

One possibility is that the installation of the game messed up. Another player had unusual problems and they all went away when he uninstalled and reinstalled the program. That's something you can try while I work on the problem at my end.

The problem is definitely not unique, and as keyser wrote has probably to do something with Eastern Europe languages. I'm from Poland, tried switching keyboard to english, tried downloading latest patch (for now 1.11) from site, not through autoupdate - problem persist. I can supply Shannon with proper jpegs. For now I am unable to play any of the tutorials. I didn't get into playing solitaire so far - I suppose it would cash in some moment.

Problem solved by Shannon - keyboard Unicode issue
