Status: offline 		Since the sale has started I am thinking of buying this game. This or GG:WITE.

CEAW was a great game and I had a lot of fun playing it, though the AI wasn't really good.
In my free time I also like to play games like TOAW, GG:WAW and TripleA. I play them mostly against people and not AI.

Overall I think I am more inclined to strategic games on a grand scale. And since this is cheaper than WITE I think might go with this one.

However, since I like multiplayer and I see a lot of new games that have this PBEM++ I am wondering is this system any good and are there active CTGW players around these days ?
I never played anything with pbem++ so far.

WITE is fairly popular so with that I can't go wrong.

I feel scared and lost in this matter, so I would like to hear your opinion on what should I do ???

Status: offline 		Hi. I'm playing CTGW since relace in 2012. I'm playing only multiplayer PBEM. From that time game had 2 patches (if I'm cor5rect) and the third is comeing up soon. About Multiplayer- I've played from the begining about 20 MP matches(Finnished faster or by the end date. Douring thi I had about 3 games crushed which I couldn't continue. Also there was a problem with a server about 10 times (let say at last 6h out of action each time- I play allmoust every day since relese date). I've got some "in game friends" to play so I can'rt say I'm boring but didn't try to find new opponent last months so I can't say how it looks like tooday (is it hard to find new player or isn't).
About playing with server- its nice and fast and about 6 days of server problems (from 365 in the year) is not as big problem.
There is only one thing i don't like (or I regreat)- community of CEAW is much bigger and much more active.
At last I will play this awsome game until the END :D
P.S. that is only my personal oppinion

Also, since you a re very familiar with the game, I have another question; tell me is the game balanced ok ?

I've seen a lot of old posts claiming that russia collapses too soon, and US almost never enters the war.
Is this still a problem, are CP too strong ?

For now in PBEM there is still problem with Russia surrender and US entry. It should be resolved in new patch or if you want you can play with scripts modded (it's very easy to mod scripts). I think Everyone are waiting for new patch which will fix problems.
But if you want to play game without mods there is still option to win with bot sides but it seems you have to do it befor Russia surrender as an entente player. I din't saw any who won the game as Entente after Russia surrendered (in MP games)... or maybe it's only my poor skils :D (that I can't win). Maybe after US join war but this must be fix.

This game is "easy to learn but hard tu master". it means that you need about 15 minuts to learn gmeplay, some more time (maybe one game with AI) to learn how it works- fight and research, moves ect and whole life to learn new tactics and strategy :D

Are you for sure that they will fix this in a new patch ?
I wouldn't want to buy an unbalanced game.

You have to ask first question to Lordz Studio. I'm just a fan of a game. I hope they will fix this(I wrote that this is a problem in MP- versus AI is the same situation). They said that thay wil fix this :D

About modded game- yes you can play via PBEM but you need to have installed second copy of the game for moded scripts- same has to do your opponent.

If you are afraid of buing unbalanced game wait until next patch will came. They say it's comeing out in December (if I'm correct).

So far it seems like a great game, I can see that I will stick with it for a long time.

So far I'm getting pounded hard by the CP.

And I've noticed that AI sends a battleship to Anwterp as soon as it falls, so I can trick it by sending my UK ships to intercept it in advance.
