Hmm... Once upon a time... In age long, long forgotten - people call this ancient time as "Vanilia Distant World" - empires did not had any sphere of influence. In that time I played as Securans, and managed to colonise around one third of galaxy. My empire was kind of isolationistic, so I did not put my nose into other empires, nor did I cared about their affairs. And life was easy and good. But one day... One horrible day something really bad and wrong has happened. Something that changed everything! Hakonish empire had luched massive colonisation effort into MY empire. And they were succesful to the point that I had to put isolationist policy into rubbish bin. And war broke out. I won war at space quite easily, but could not take their colonies (beside those recently colonised that lacked any major defence forces) due to Securans fragile troops. In the end I justwiped out most of their minig stations, space ports and anything that was in space and belonged to them. Than I build in their systems my own mining and gas mining stations. I also managed to take two or three well developed planets of theirs (they were not very big so it was major blow to them). Afther that we sign a peace tready. They started to rebuild, I even sent them around 1000000 credits to help them rebuild faster... And then - guess who earnd milions on selling them literaly every possible resource and fuel? Of course they build their own mining elsewhere, but still - mine was in their systems, so it was to much closer :D But that is not all - there was many more good planets in my empire still uncolonised, so in return they again lunched colonisation fleet, and managed outrun me. Since then we had very, very strange relationships :) On one hand they hated me because of all my mining stations in their systems and I hated them because they managed to colonise most of hi quality continential and swamp planets which I wanted, but on the other side - income generated from mutual trade made me unable to declar war on them. I guess we end up lock in hate-love relation for all ethernity :)
