A message for EnverPasha. Where are you? Have you given up on the game? Would be nice of you to let me know....

Mitchypooiscool - are you intending to carry on our game?

Thank-you.

Another opponent seemingly gone AWOL with no warning

Solly if you read this could you let me know if you intend to return to our game please or could you resign if not? Re the second game I assume you still cannot get it to work? If not could you post what has happened in the tech forum? Thank-you

Solly if you are out there can you let me know the position please?

Playing two games - being beaten in both - but the games continue at a good pace. Then, over time I start turning the games around and start winning...the turns start to dry up. I am on the verge of victory with the Entente ...and nothing heard for three weeks. Really poor....

I cannot believe this is only me this is happening to?? We should have a wall of shame or something. So much time and effort is invested in playing games like this - to have people act so inconsiderately is really frustrating.

That's too bad Warspite. I am purchasing this game today as I have been shopping for a WW1 game for quite some time and this one looks pretty good. I work a lot and have just started a family so gaming doesn't get a whole lot of my time but I would be interested in a PBEM once I learn the ropes of the game. I came to Matrix through GG War in the East and I have one game currently going with AAR. I have good feedback and am well known there. Perhaps we can do a game a month or two in the future?

I've set up a couple of games - one of each. This looks like a whole new game

It does. I need to get through this busy weekend then should be able to play against you.

Time zones probably won't work in our favour, but I'll give it a go.

I think that the month time required between a reply is too long.
If someone doesn't reply for 2 weeks I think that's enough time waiting.

Okay I will set up two invitations - one for each side - if that's okay.

Hi Ivan - The game is stuck. It won't complete your last turn. As soon as you destroy the German infantry in Belgium, the program stops working.......

Frustrating.....

OK.

I'll upgrade to 1.41, we can start another game if you'd like.

I would do but isn't there some sort of hot fix or something that we need to download? No idea what all that means so will just wait for the next update.

Hmmm.... I've just bought CTGW and installed ver 1.4 and in reading the manual (GODS! He reads the MANUAL??) it refers to registration "at Slitherine".

Now, I registered at the Slitherine forums during RtV and ToW but server/forum response was always so slow that I had pretty much abandoned further access. I've been registerd on the Matrix forum for longer.

Q: Does the CTGW PBEM use the Slitherine forum registration (in which case I shall probably not bother) or will it accept my game and identity registration at Matrix, in which case I may take on a PBEM (after I've played my first Grand campaign.

From what I have experienced, it does not matter which forum you are registered in, to do PBEM. Myself, it has been Matrix, having no problems so far with Slitherine opponents, have not played a 1.42 MP game YET.
